Judith Weir (b 1954)

Part Five: Collaborations

Friday 4 June 2004 12:00-13:00 (Radio 3)

Repeated: Friday 11 June 2004 0:00-1:00 (Radio 3)

The composer Judith Weir has said 'that with the lessening of specific communal identities that is a consequence of the present cultural pluralism, the greater is the need than ever before for individuals to create their own particular culture out of a network of personal associations.'

Today, to complete this series of programmes, Donald Macleod discusses some of the fruitful collaborations which Judith Weir has enjoyed throughout her career.
