Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840 - 1893)
While Tchaikovsky was not a regular attendee of services, he nonetheless retained a deep affection for the Russian Orthodox church. In his correspondence with his patron and friend Madam von Meck he broached some of the thornier issues associated with an acceptance of Christian faith.
