Proms 2004 Preview Night

Stephanie Hughes and Andrew McGregor looked forward to the 2004 season, Friday 16 July - Saturday 11 September, with Nicholas Kenyon, Director of the Proms.

Members of the Britten Sinfonia played music reflecting this year's themes.

Winners of the pair of tickets to hear Alfred Brendel with the Philharmonia Orchestra playing Beethoven's 'Emperor' Concerto on Tuesday 17th August, and the pair of tickets to the Berlin Philharmonic's Prom with Simon Rattle on Sunday 5th September wereTrevor Yorke (Brendel) and Sonia Sandford (Rattle).
