Wednesday 21 Dec
Petroc Trelawny
Wednesday 21 December 2005 19:00-22:00 (Radio 3)
Bach's solo cello suites are the gold standard against which other works in this medium are judged. Petroc Trelawny presents three different artists playing three of these suites and talks to cellist Yo Yo Ma about them.
The programme also includes a Bach flute sonata and Helmut Walcha playing the organ of St Laurenskerk, Alkmaar, in a recording from 1956.
