Sold On Song

Search For A Song
Sold On Song is launching a competition to find a song for Eurovision!

Eurovision winners & losers
This year's song writing competition is to find a song to be one of the five entries for TV's Making Your Mind Up show, the winner of which will represent the UK in next year's Eurovision.

Competition Rules

Songs must be submitted on CD (i.e no tapes, minidiscs, mp3s etc will be listened to).

Only one song per entrant - if more than one song is submitted this will disqualify that writer.

The maximum duration of each song should be three minutes.

All writers and performers must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the Eurovision Song Contest Semi Final (i.e. Thursday 18th May).

All entries must be submitted with a lyric sheet.

The closing date is 31 December 2005

All entrants must be resident in the UK.

The entry (lyrics and music) must not have been commercially released and/or publicly performed prior to 1 October 2005.

The lyrics and/or performance of the songs must not bring the Eurovision Song Contest into disrepute.

All writers of the song must be clearly and correctly identified.

Entries cannot be accepted from BBC employees or their families.

No acknowledgment of receipt of entry will be given and no entries will be returned. Finalists will be notified by Radio 2 if their entry is successful.
