Don't Look Back In Anger
Noel Gallagher
One of the stand out songs on the "What's The Story..", it begins with an homage to Lennon’s Imagine. Or you may like to call it a blatant rip off. Noel Gallagher in an interview with MTV admitted that he had taken the opening piano riff straight from 'Imagine'.

Composer Noel Gallagher
Album (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
Genre Rock
Released 1995
UK Chart 1
Admitting to borrowing the music, he hoped it would encourage new listeners to the Fab Four. “I suppose fifty percent of it’s put there to wind people up. And the other fifty percent is saying ‘Look this is how songs like ‘Look Back In Anger’ come about. Because they’re inspired by songs like ‘Imagine’. ..there’s some kid out there will read the interview and say Imagine well I’ve never heard that song. And he might go and buy the album..”
A cursory glance at the lyrics sheet leaves you just as confused as Wonderwall but somehow it doesn’t matter. Oasis have way of making you feel you have heard all before, and you probably have if you listen to the Beatles and yet the idiosyncratic Gallagher vocal style and post modern dream like lyrics make the song unique. Three singles came off the What’s the Story, the album also gave us Some Might Say and Wonderwall, as well as the explosive Champagne Supernova and raucous pub rock of Roll With It. A multi platinum album with Don’t Look Back taking no 1 in the UK singles chart in March 1995. Oasis were never better than this.

Noel Gallagher
Noel Gallagher plays a live version of the song then talks to Simon Mayo about playing it in the studio.

Other versions
The Wurzels
A barely recognisable version of the song in true Zummerzet style

Being Chinese I can't quite get what the lyrics of this song mean but everytime I hear it I feel like singing, I love it all.
