COMPETITION RULES

By entering any of the daily competitions, you agree to these rules.

To enter a competition, you must be a UK resident and at least 18 years old. You may enter each competition as many times as you wish.

You may only enter by text. Texts cost £1 (plus your standard text charge). At least 70p from every text goes directly to Comic Relief. The remainder of the charges cover tax and operator and handling charges.

If you are a pre-pay customer, the charges will be deducted from your available credit time. If you are a pay monthly customer, the charges will appear on your monthly statement. If you are not the bill payer for the phone, you must obtain the bill payer’s permission before entering.

There are eight separate daily competitions, one each starting on Monday 5, Tuesday 6, Wednesday 7, Thursday 8, Friday 9 March, and on Monday 12, Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 March. For further details of entry deadlines for each day, please see the competition page.

Each winner will be drawn at random from all correct entries for that day’s competition. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Each winner will be announced between 1600 and 1630 on the day the competition closes and contacted by telephone. If we cannot contact the winner between 1600 and 1630, we may award the prize to the next correct entry drawn at random.

We will only use your personal details to administer this competition, but may use the winner’s name and photographs for promotional and publicity purposes. Please see our privacy policy.

The details of the prizes for each daily competition, listen to Steve Wright’s radio show or see the Radio 2 website competition page.

The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.

BBC may disqualify you from winning a prize if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that you are in breach of these rules or your participation in the competition is fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.

The competitions are not open to employees or contractors of Comic Relief, BBC (or anyone else involved in organising the competition) or their direct family members.

BBC may cancel any competition for reasons outside of its reasonable control. BBC may amend these rules without notice, by posting changes to them on this website.

BBC does not accept any responsibility for any network congestion, technical failure or other problem in any telephone line, network, system, provider or otherwise which results in any text not being properly recorded or received.

To the extent permitted by law, BBC excludes all warranties (whether express or implied), representations and its liability regarding these competitions or prizes (other than for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence).

These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

These competitions are promoted by the BBC. Broadcasting House, Portland Place, London, W1A 1AA. Comic Relief is registered with the Charity Commission no. 326568.
