      Yes I think men should be given anonymity during any rape case until the verdict. It is outrageous that women are allowed to have their anonymity protected and men are plastered all over the media. If the men are found not guilty a stigma still exists around teh allegations for many years to come. This can be devastating for the man and his family and has indeed resulted in some suicides over the years. Lets me fair to both parties.

      Following on from the last lady's comments re the man should ascertain if the woman is really giving consent if she is drunk - I think if he has also had a considerable amount to drink he would probably not be in a fit state to make that judgement.

      If they were both drunk, surely he could have had her charged with rape? At some point we all have to take responsibility for our own actions. Just don't get so blind drunk you don't know what you're doing!
