Jeremy auctioned one of his most treasured ties on eBay for Children in Need raising £930. |
Despite occasionally sporting the casual open collar look, Jeremy remains a traditionalist at heart and prefers the more defined air of elegance bestowed upon him by a suitably attractive neck tie.
It is therefore a great wrench for him to part with one of the most beloved ties from his extensive wardrobe. However, the fact that the money raised will go to Children in Need and that the tie will find a home in a drawer or tie rack of a listener makes the separation more bearable.

Tie History from Jeremy
"This tie was bought for me by my mother and I've worn it on both Newsnight and the One O'Clock News on BBC1. It's a hugely desirable fashion accessory consisting of snazzy blue stripes which can accompany both dark and light suits. It's the first tie I usually reach for so I hope that whoever makes the highest bid will provide it with a comfortable home and wear it with pride"
