ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Jane Harris was born in Belfast and grew up in Glasgow. Her critically-acclaimed debut novel, The Observations, was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction, among other awards.
Jane studied Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, and then completed a PhD at the same university. After UEA came a two-year stint as the Arts Council Writer-in-Residence at Durham prison.
She lives in London with her husband, the film director Tom Shankland.
