The Great British Songbook On Richard's Show

Every Saturday from 0500 - 0600, Richard will be spinning a full 60 minutes of music written solely by Brits.

This will include two very special live performances of classic British songs covered by artists who've perfomed on Radio 2 for the Great British Songbook.

From Annie Lennox covering Ash to Snow Patrol's take on John Martyn, the world of music pays tribute to some of the greatest British songs ever written.

Alongside each recording, each time an artist records a track for the Great British Songbook we film an interview video to find out exactly why they picked the track. 
 
The likes of Seal, Adele, Duffy The Feeling, Keane, James Morrison, Scouting For Girls, Pixie Lott, Will Young, Daniel Merriweather and Gary Go have all spoken to Radio 2 about their selections and you can watch every interview in the Great British Songbook Archive.
