This week (November 25), BBC Radio 2 hosted an exclusive live performance of Monkey: Journey To The West, the new work from Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, the team behind Gorillaz.

Based on their Opera of the same name, the recording featured both Chinese and European musicians from the original theatre production.

    As Monkey: Journey To The West pours out of your radio from 1900 Saturday evening, you can follow the hour long performance in a number of different ways to enhance this magical experience.

    Make your laptop, DAB radio and Digital TV work harder to get the most out of your radio broadcasts!

    1. Monkey In Pictures: Have a look at galleries of pictures from the show, including original style guide illustrations, shots from the theatre production and pictures from the Radio 2 recording.

    2. DAB & Digital TV Text:  Both Digital Radio and Digital TV broadcasts will feature scrolling text to help you follow the show. Movement titles, lyric translations and a plot synopsis will appear at regular intervals so keep your eyes peeled.
