ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Frank Renton presents a fresh look at the brass band movement in the 21st century, with live performances from brass and military bands, the latest CD releases and favourite old recordings. The show features bands from all over the British Isles as well as occasional glimpses of worldwide talent.

IN THIS WEEKS SHOW - FRIDAY 01 MAY
Redbridge Brass conducted by Jeremy Wise are Frank Renton’s guests this week playing a typically varied programme of music especially recorded for Listen To The Band. Opening up with the march Manhattan, they feature trombonist Jayne Murrill in Here’s That Rainy Day, the solo cornet of Ralph Brill in Don’t Doubt Him and end with music from Gershwin’s masterpiece Porgy & Bess.
