Monday 31 December - 1000-1300 Michael talks to special guest, actress Imelda Staunton, one of the stars of the recent BBC drama Cranford and one of the stars of the last Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix. Michael will also play a few of her favourite pieces of music.
Film buff Angie Errigo talks about some of the big films to look out for in 2008, TV Critic Mark Webster looks at some of the forthcoming major TV series for the new year while Julie Cullen has some names to look out for in the world of music in 2008.
Plus some listeners will join Michael on the phone with their stories of past new years’!
Tuesday 1 January - 1000-1300
Jonathan Pryce who is currently starring in the London West End production of the David Mamet play Glengarry Glen Ross talks to Michael Ball. Jonathan will also bring a few of his favourite records into the studio for Michael to play.
There’s advice on detoxing your body after all of the seasonal excesses and Shelley Von Strunckel will be looking at the star signs of some people who have been in the news a lot during 2007 to see if 2008 will be a better year for them.
