Now in its 14 year, North By Northeast (NXNE) celebrates the best in new music and film from the indie scene. Spanning four days and nights the festival features showcases from 500 bands in more than 40 live venues across the city.

On Thursday 12 June, part of the festival, Bob will host an evening of specially selected showcases from his favourite Canadian artists, and his Saturday programme features highlights from that event, including performances from the acclaimed 23 year-old singer, songwriter and fiddle player, Kendel Carson, who'll be joined by Outlaw social, a band from British Columbia who take a modern approach to traditional string band music, by singer/ storyteller Dave Gunning from Nova Scotia and Canadian folk trio The Wailin’ Jennys.

Bob will also be joined live in the studio by artists appearing at the festival, and some of the major players in Canada’s music industry. You can also hear how Bob’s been faring out and about on the streets of Toronto, discovering the city behind the festival.
