 | Chrissie Hynde presents a special tribute programme.

It's now ten years since Jeff Buckley's debut album, Grace, was released. A landmark album of the 90s, it would have been legendary even without the sheen of posthumous allure gained after its maker's death in 1997.
Buckley had first made his name on New York's avant-garde club scene for his soaring vocals and dazzling guitar playing. Following the release of a live EP, he signed to Sony and released Grace.
Buckley toured the world, thrilling audiences and critics alike. In France he was even awarded the "Gran Prix International Du Disque - Academie Charles CROS 1995", previously won by, amongst others, Edith Piaf and Bruce Springsteen.
Jeff would never complete the follow up to Grace. In Memphis in 1997 to record his second album, My Sweetheart the Drunk, he drowned in the Mississippi. He was just 31.
In this special one-hour documentary, Radio 2 tells the story of this extraordinary artist in what will be a fitting tribute to the man and his musical legacy.
