Hi there Drivetimers! The cocker from the locker here with all the info you'd ever want to know about me.
So the basics - my birthday is the 31 March 1975, I'm 6 foot 3 , married with two children and live in Berkshire.
I've been a sports reporter all my working life - first of all at Capital Radio in London and since 1999 with the BBC Radio Sports department. Since 2006 I've been the Radio 2 sports presenter, but before that most of my work was on 5Live. I also dabbled with Radios 1 and 4.
My career before Radio 2 was largely nomadic with many overseas trips - I've reported and commentated on cricket, rugby union, football and various other sports from all over the world - Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Zimababwe, France, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Spain, the West Indies and the USA are all countries I've been lucky enough to visit and work from.
Commentary highlights include curling, bob skeleton racing and even shooting at the Commonwealth Games ( "Bang! Its there .... its gold for the Falklands!") and I still get the chance to do regular rugby union commentary and reporting on 5Live.
Away from work I enjoy English literature (I'm studying part time for an OU qualification), mobile DJing ( weddings, birthday parties - proper cheesy music only), playing with my children and cheese.
Finally, a little plug:
Every Friday on Chris Evans' Drivetime, in the sports locker, we move away from the mainstream and concentrate on a sport or sporting event that's a little bit different.
If you're involved in a crazy sport, please send in all the details to me using my Jonny's Mad Friday Sport email form.
