ABOUT THE SHOW
What is ‘Chillout’ music? There’s no easy answer but the world of Chillout takes in such a wide range of musical styles – pop, folk, soul, jazz, acoustic and electronica – that there really is something for everyone.
In the early hours of Easter Monday Chris Coco and Sally Rodgers returned to Radio 2, each bringing their own personal touch to the Chillout sound. Between midnight and 2.00am, DJ and Chillout guru Chris Coco playd a laid back selection of tunes, both acoustic and electronic, before DJ and musician, Sally Rodgers, took over at 2.00am with an eclectic choice of tunes ranging from electronic disco pop to something a little more laid back, as well as a few old songs given a new twist.
With session tracks from Laura Marling and singer-songwriter, Devon Sproule, Radio 2’s Easter Chillout made for perfect Bank Holiday listening.
