Star Wars 30 AnniversaryFriday 18 May
1903-1930
(two parts)
Thirty years ago in a galaxy far, far away (but really just in a cinema down the road) one of the most popular, profitable, entertaining, and successful science fiction/action/adventure/fantasy films of all time was released. Since then Star Wars has become the most influential movie franchise in cinema history.
This all-star programme will feature a host of actors, musicians, directors and producers who worked on or were influenced by Star Wars, highlighting the impact the film has had on contemporary cinema in the 30 years since it was released.
The second part of this documentary will be broadcast on Friday night May 25, which is the thirtieth anniversary of the US film release.
