Brian Wilson and Steve Levine

The Record Producers

Monday 25 August 2008
2103 - 2200

Richard Allinson and Steve Levine look at the work of one of the most influential musicians in pop history – Brian Wilson.

Musical director and friend, Jeff Foskett, demonstrates Brian's harmonic arrangements with a specially recorded acapella version of Warmth Of The Sun.

Other interviewees include David L Marks, "The Lost Beach Boy" who was a permanent member of the group for the first four albums, Graham Nash, and acclaimed session bassist Carol Kaye of The Wrecking Crew.

The documentary also features an exclusive interview with Brian Wilson and rare, original session highlights of Wouldn't It Be Nice and Good Vibrations.

On Saturday 30 August, BBC 6Music will broadcast a Producers Cut of the programme which will include recordings of God Only Knows and Caroline No amongst its bonus material.
