Easter Chillout Special

ABOUT THE SHOW

Easter Eggs

In the early hours of Easter Monday, the Radio 2 Music Club presented the Easter Chillout Special. Chris Coco and Pete Lawrence returned with their own special feel to the art of chilling out for Spring. Included in Chris's show were exclusive session tracks from The Lilac Time's Stephen Duffy while Pete had live music from ex-Beautiful South vocalist, Dave Hemingway.

To win a copy of Air's new album 'Pocket Symphony', The Bees 'Octopus' and the Kenneth Bager album 'Folk But Not Folk', Chris asked the following question: Where did Air go on safari?

The answer was of course, the Moon.  Air's first album was 'Moon Safari'.

And to win a copy of Jose Padilla's new album 'Cafe Solo 2' , chillout compilation 'The Big Freeze, and other goodies Pete asked: What was the name of the bar in Ibiza where Jose Padilla compiled his legendary sunset tapes?

The answer was Cafe del Mar.

Congratulations to all our winners, prizes will be sent out as soon as possible.

Check out our presenters' thoughts on the past, present and future of Chillout below and see what Chris and Sally Rodgers played on their Christmas shows.

THE FUTURE OF CHILLOUT

RADIO 2'S CHRISTMAS CHILLOUT

Chris Coco

CHRIS COCO'S CHRISTMAS CRACKERS

In the early hours  of Christmas Day, Chris played a laid back, mellow selection of tunes, an alternative take on the usual Xmas musical fare, some classics as you've never heard them before,  Xmas music from round the world and even a bit of festive reggae - in fact the perfect soundtrack to wrapping or unwrapping those special festive treats.
