Petula Clark and Michael Ball star in this world-exclusive version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical. Accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Martin Yates, Petula Clark reprises her critically acclaimed role of Norma Desmond, while Michael Ball takes on the role of Joe Gillis for the first time.
Based on the 50s film of the same name, Sunset Boulevard weaves a tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Silent movie star Norma Desmond longs to return to the big screen after the advent of the 'talkies'. She meets struggling Hollywood screen writer Joe Gillis, with tragic consequences. Music featured includes 'With One Look', 'The Perfect Year', 'Surrender', 'Sunset Boulevard' and 'New Ways To Dream'.

Mark Goodier introduces guitar legend Eric Clapton in concert as he performs in Belfast as part of his current tour.
With a career spanning over 40 years, Eric Clapton is now one of the most infuential guitarists in rock music. From copying the great blues guitarists, Eric went on to play for various R&B bands, later forming Cream with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker and then going solo in the 70s. His many well known hits include 'Layla', 'Lay Down Sally', 'Wonderful Tonight' and 'Tears In Heaven'.

 Two greats of Latin music - drumming phenomenon Horacio 'El Negro' Hernandez and conga player Giovanni Hidalgo - join the BBC Big Band for a unique concert of Latin sounds blended with rich jazz textures.
Grammy Award winner El Negro represents the cream of today's generation of Cuban musicians, while Puerto Rican conguero Giovanni is arguably the world's finest conga player. Together with the BBC Big Band, conducted by Jiggs Whigham with Charles Flores on double bass, they merge the indigenous energy of Salsa Cubana with the power of the big band. Musical numbers include 'Oye Como Va' and 'The Cuban Fire Suite'.
