Radio 2 presents a special Friday Night Is Music Night concert, celebrating the music of one of the world's best loved icons.
Through a career that spanned 45 of her 47 years, Judy Garland attained international stardom as an actress in musical and dramatic roles, as a recording artist and on the concert stage. And in the year that sees the 70th anniversary of the release of The Wizard Of Oz, who better to lead the celebrations than her daughter, Broadway star Lorna Luft.
Joining Lorna on stage is an array of stars from the world of musical theatre - Linzi Hateley, Francis Ruffelle and John Barrowman - plus the 70 piece BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Mike Dixon.
