Josh Groban performed with the
BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Martin Yates. The concert, recorded at the Mermaid in London, also featured
Idina Menzel, who played Elpheba in the Broadway and West End premiers of Wicked,
Lucia Micarelli, an amazing violinist who features on Josh's new album, and the brilliant
Angelique Kidjo.
Josh Groban launched his debut self-titled album in 2001 which, over the next year, went from gold to double-platinum. He performed on tour with Sarah Brightman and was involved in many benefit concerts. Josh's career has also included scores of television appearances, including Ally McBeal, Oprah Winfrey, Good Morning America, The Today Show, two PBS specials, the Superbowl, the Oscars and the closing ceremony of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. In November 2006, he released his third album, Awake, and he's just about to start touring.
