BACKSTAGE AT GUILFEST

Dermot O’Leary and Janice Long both had fun backstage at GuilFest this year.

Dermot broadcasted live from behind the Radio 2 stage where he coaxed the stars into his cosy little studio for a bit of a gossip and a few good tunes. Whereas Janice gathered together all the best music played at the festival, along with some great interviews, to take back to Birmingham with her. From Monday morning and for the rest of the week she played them out on her show.

Radio 2 has been a huge fan of GuilFest over the years and this year they have once again done us proud with three great headliners Supergrass, Squeeze and Madness.  Also joining them on the Radio 2 Stage were The Ordinary Boys, Magic Numbers, Thirteen Senses, Morcheeba, Toots and the Maytals, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Crazy P, The Hold Steady, Jimmy Cliff, Sandi Thom, Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra, The Dub Pistols (with Terry Hall), The Icicle Works and Skaville UK.
