Radio 2 presented some fantastic live broadcasts from this year's Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

A key date in the international jazz calendar, Cheltenham Jazz Festival offers a huge range of music, with an eclectic mix of events crammed into seven days.  From chart-topping stars and jazz legends to the finest cutting edge music, there is something here for every music fan.

    Enjoy the best of the American jazz songbook with a special live edition of Friday Night Is Music Night from Cheltenham Town Hall. Hosted by Michael Parkinson and featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra, the special guest stars include Curtis Stigers, Jane Monheit, Jamie Davis and exciting young UK trumpet star Bryan Corbett

      On-air: Monday 7 & 14 May at 2200

      In a Radio 2 exclusive, from Cheltenham Town Hall, the BBC Big Band joins legendary New York composer and trombonist, Bob Brookmeyer and acclaimed Brazilian singer and pianist, Eliane Elias for the best in contemporary jazz.

        What else is on?

        Other highlights of the festival include jazz goddess Madeleine Peyroux, exclusive jazz sets from Marti Pellow and Guillemots, and rare UK concerts from jazz legends Charles Lloyd and Bennie Maupin.
