Cyndi
I'll Leave My Heart

Performed by Cyndi

Written by Henry Gorman and Paul Mosel

Cyndi Almouzni first realised she wanted to be a singer when she saw the breathtaking performance of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ from the film ‘The Bodyguard’.  She practised her own vocal techniques to this track at first singing to herself, then her family and then in school. This led to her parents sending her to singing school followed by private lessons.

At 14 years old, Cyndi won a local talent contest and entered the national televised contest finals held in Paris.  This was the start of her professional singing career. She went on to sign a worldwide recording contract in the USA while at the same time continuing her studies.

Steve Allen, A&R at Sony BMG, first discovered Cyndi after hearing her vocals on a dance track and believed he was listening to the sampled voice of an American soul diva. ‘I’ll Leave My Heart’ has been produced by renowned Grammy award winning producer Brian Rawling.

Unique voice and personality - a star of the future

    adrian from great yarmouth
i was shocked u didnt win.u have a fantastic voice.the song was lovely, may have won the contest in may.wish u all the best for the future.

    Paul Leslie - Perth Scotland
This was a beautiful song and I hope Cindy will release. I love the hauting celtic effects - cleverly put together. Paul Leslie

    suzanne bristol
Love it ....she should have won!!!!

    John Beach Solihull
I Love the balard- In my opinion it was the best of the bunch

    Martin Sheffield
i would rather chop off my privates than here this again

    michael owen
is there no way of changing the winner of that competition because it has been clearly expressed by a percentage of people that cyndi should have won

    Liam Taylor from Deiniolen,N.Wales
A bit like 'You Raise Me up!BUT otherwise a good song!

    claire smith
wow she was amazing she should of been out eurovision queen !! defoo a future for this gurl x

    Tom, Cornwall
I've never liked the song "You raise me up" and I've never "Loch Lomond" but I do know that song was more of a potential winner than Scooch's performance will ever be. Best of lucky to Cyndi in the future.

    Dave Wakefield. Cheshire
Lovely song sung by a really gorgeous singer with a beatiful voice. Really sorry it did not win.

    Tom Waller Timmins Ontario
Great Song, I wish it had won for the UK, sounds a little Celtic, and nothing wrong with that!

    Nicola, Northern Ireland
I really liked the song but found it a bit of a strange mix of "Irelands Call" and "I'll take the high road, and you'll take the low road". It should have been the winner though cause its a song we would have been proud of.

    jane mclean dundee
i thought that this was a fantastic song, a mix of loch lomond, danny boy, you raise me up which are three of my favourite songs. think it should of won but maybe a bit good for eurovision. lets hope they release it on single or album.

    Michael leeds
    Absolute Bliss what a pity

    Matthew, wiltshire
Great powerfull song and fantastic voice, loved the bars of loch Lomond to start, this song would have done well for us, after last year most countries will be going for something similarly bizarre, so this song would have stood out by a long way, To win Eurovision you either have to be totally outrageous such as Lordi last year or a really great singer/song, scooch is neither!

    Estonia 2008
She had a great voice, the best of them all. Estonia to win!

    Leo (Cornwall)
OK so it sounded a bit like Loch Lomond but Scooch sang 'Yeah, yeah, yeah. Those old enough to remember could say they were copying from the Beatles 'She loves you'. Cyndi was streets ahead in voice, performance and talent. If both songs come out commercialy I know which one I would be buying.

    John Goater Winchester in Hampshire
The best song and would have had a great chance at the Enros. We stand not chance with the winning song as to shove British down the throats of other countries will be a disaster

    Greg, Scotland
I think Cyndi would have been a better entry than Scooch as she can sing

Mr R Hughes (Driffield, East Yorkshire) rwhadhaeh0
    Absolutely beautifully performed by Cyndi

    Karen Chesterfield, Derbys
THIS should have been the winner.

    Jane, Malvern
I thought it was a beautiful song, streets ahead of the other entries and the UK would've stood a chance of winning with it. Cyndi has a beautiful voice and I just hope it gets released as a single.

    ossie smithson billingham cleveland uk
this song should have won and it would have certainly have won for the uk.the annoucement was abyssmal wogan said cyndi had won then changed his mind, that poor girl must be in pieces,i hope she records it just to show what would really happen it,s a WORLD BEATER that made the hairs on my neck stand up.this decision is the biggest cockup ever.

    ossie smithson
absoloutly fantastic this song would have won for the uk without a doubt

    Scott Birmingham
Cyndi had so much class and dignity on the stage and her response to the mistake is a credit to her. What a truly nice person aswell as talented.. I really hope this only helps her career, big voice, beauty and a true lady! Go Cyndi!!

    james, uk
i think its a really good song and we would have had a great chance of winning if cyndih had of won! she got my vote!

    Ed, Cornwall
Cyndi was head and shoulders above the rest. The announcement of the winner was a 'Freudian slip' It was another example of 'TV Manipulation' The result had been decided before the vote, and the confusion arose because the viewers picked Cyndi and someone in the production team was not aware that it was a done deal!

    Julie form Yorkshire
I really got bored with this song. It was too Loch Lomond. Not Cyndi's fault as her voice was very good, but the song was just trying to emulate the style that has been so successful for Ireland in the past.

    Martin Dublin
Although this was a good song i am glad it didnt win as 1) Britain has enough talent and You dont have to go anywhere else to find a good eurovision song and 2) it`s a total rip off of You Raise Me Up. anywayz good luck with scooch guys, douze pois from me ;)

    Russell Isle of Man
Lovely girl who deserves to succeed in her career - however the poor girl may not be aware that the song as said by so many is a rip off of a number of others . It is pieced together with bits of familiar songs so that all the melody is plagarised . Cyndi is a good singer and deserved better from those advising her . You raise me up - Danny Boy - The bonny bonny banks of Loch Lomond . I rest my case . Better to send another song than be disqualified . Mindyou I've seen even more blatant appear before - Irish 1995 Eddy Friel -Dreaming was exactly the same as Julie Felix song Moonlight all the way through . Plagarism was well publicised so although a winner it was not voted for . That was the way of discounting it . I'm sure it would also have happened to this song if not disqualified outright .

    Anne,London
Could have been a euro contender, unfortunately the UK will be represented by an act that belongs on Hi De Hi! BBC should account for. the total votes for all acts

    david from manchester
well! what can 1 say the great british public have done it again sent an awful song /awful singers why oh why cyndi did not win god only knows the best song since immanni cyndi would have walked the contest hands down but yet again the uk will hang their heads in shame when scooch come bottom ,if scooch think they r so cud and deserve 2 represent the uk why didnt they do it when they first came out with all that i needed 2 know way back wen ? i am 55 and have watched esc every year and seen the uk go from bad 2 worse thumbs down for scooch

    Woody of Bucks.
I thought that this song would have given us the strongest entry in the Eurovision contest for many years. Where can I get it, I like it anyway.

    Norman, Prague
We might have stood half a chance of wiping out the stain if Iraq with this one. It's reminiscent of my all time favourite from Vicki Leandros in 1972.

    Nathan, Stoke
I am gutted that Cyndi isn't representing the UK in the ESC she was better than Scooch in my opinion

    rachel , worcestershire
i love the song i wish she won and i hope she makes a album soon coz i would defently buy it coz she is a great singer. :-)

    Mark, Portsmouth
This should have been our winning song and Terry was thinking that. The Europeans are not aware of our "sounds like" comments, they vote for a good song and visual interest, Cyndi ticks all the boxes.

    Mark. London
I think 'i`ll leave my heart' was the best song by far, and should be a hit in it`s own right. Cyndi`s first performance was i thought ,breath taking! There are not too many singers who can sing with the control, range emotion and tone that cyndi can. She sent shivers through me. That doesn`t happen often, but when she sang it again It was even better !! I hope she becomes a star..

    Louise Launchbury
I loved this song - it gave me goosebumps. This would have won Eurovision for us - but who is going to vote for Scooch??????? I had no idea what they were singing about and the camp ad-libs just made me mute my tv. Although Cyndi is French she said that she would have been very proud representing the UK and we would have been very proud of her. Shame I won't be watching on May 12th now... I will be hiding from the embarrassment of Europe laughing at us. Can Cyndi enter this song next year???

    Mary Molesworth, Glos
We think 'I'll Leave My Heart', is a brilliant song and was wonderfully performed by Cyndi; where can we buy a copy of it? Please release it on a CD; we feel sure it will be a 'winner' even if it was not chosen for Eurovision; perhaps they have done her a favour!

    colin webb- crowborough east sussex
great song, should have won ! phone calls are all a fix anyway, lets see which song wins the chart war !

    eileen durham
best song in the contest this one should be representing us

    Anthony Woodward from Ellesmere Port
She is absolutely amazing! Her voice is very powerful, her voice is wonderful! Has she made any albums? is she going to release that song? Let me know I hope she does! Just as good and as powerful as Celine Dion!!!

    Roger T Armitage
Should have won it outright good clasicl powerfull song

    Rach - London
Well good song. Thought i cant download it from anywhere. I think she could do better than Scooch. Even though they are amazing :]

    richard gomm lowestoft
please make this a song i can download, i think it is fantastic

    richard from Sussex
Cyndi was the best singer, and should have won. The BBC should apologise to her and play her song again, and maybe she will not only be in the Uk top 10, but all over Europe too.. I think she could have a great future. does she have a fan club in UK ?

    cath austin wigan
A fantastic song should be our song instead of Scooch

    Barbra Jones Nottingham
By far the best song and so beautifully sung. I hope I can buy the cd one day

    Hazel Ford
This was a lovely song and would have done the UK proud. When Old Wogan announced that Cyndi had won, I was clapping and whooping - then there was the confusion and suddenly we were told that the naff Scooch were the winners. What a c**k-up!!! It must have been horrible for poor Cyndi, with your hopes first held high then completely dashed within under a minute! I am really annoyed that certain people have taken it upon themselves to have a go at her for being French - we've had Aussies and Yanks representing us before (in the latter case actually winning for us!) How xenophobic - how un-Eurovision!!! Did you know that "You Raise Me Up" was written by Rolf Lovlund who wrote "Let It Swing" (Norway 85) and Nocturne (Norway 95)- both winners?! Also the first artist to make a recording of it was Brian Kennedy, last year's Irish entrant.

    Linda, Nottingham
The perfect song for a funeral. Borders, farewells and a hint of the Highlands. But better than the winning song by miles.

    Judith Wheeler, Seaton, Devon
    lovely song.

    Kerrie, Derbyshire
I agree with Elizabeth from Yorkshire, Eurovision is about representing country really and it's a shame she's not a true Briton. Tis a shame Robbie Williams hasn't entered the contest. ='( He'd win it for us.

    Paula Saker, London
I think this is a beautiful song, beautifully sung and would have been in the top three of Eurovision had it made it through. Although it does sound like You Raise Me Up, it's definitely got my vote.

    Paula D'Costa
I think this is a beautiful song, beautifully sung and would have been in the top three of Eurovision had it made it through.

    B W, Somerset
How could Messrs.Gorman and Mosel and have submitted such a blatantly plagiaristic entry in the first place?! Surely Cyndi, who looks gorgeous and sings so beautifully, deserves compensation/an apology for her talent being so misappropriated! At least Sir Terry apologized for his slip.

    maureen baynham didcot oxon.
This was the best song and singer by a long way

    Bill Savage
This artist and this song would have won 2007 Eurovision for the UK. Scooch will do better that many UK entries of late but the Ballard is still very popular with Eastern European countries. Shame we have so many Goo Goo's voting on this system perhaps it should be left to a panel of experts who are able to to appreciate what Eurovision panels are looking for. Simon

    Joanna, UK
Great song, I believe it should have won, but don't you think that, especially the chourus, is exactly the same as 'You raise me up?'

    les proctor .colchester
will this song be released as a single. I want to buy it, part of it sounds like 'danny boy'

    Gillian,Scotland
It Was A Clash Between Lochlomand And You Raise Me Up Quite Confusin Lol! x :S

    James Hutcheson, Edinburgh
Well sung, but a song of dubious providence. Various parts of the melody line are lifted directly from other, better songs ('Loch Lomond' being one) It strikes me as a piece of hollow cod-celtic nonsense.

    tel - herts
absolutely brill, needs to release as a single !!!!

    harry jeans Edinburgh
i felt that cyndi was cheated out of representing britian, and feel that scosh will be nil points.

    Robert James
Fantastic song. Fantastic voice. Must be top three in contest. Must be.

    Brian, Birmingham
    You were robbed Cyndi.

    helen Blackith, Surrey
I thought it was tremendous & hope it is released as a signal.

    Peter, Gloucestershire
Cyndi's rendering of "I'll Leave My Heart" was the best of the six in the UK competion. It was a sincere, sweet song and we could hear every word clearly; not relying on fancy stage gimmicks or flashes of flesh for low level appeal.

    Mary Liverpool
Am so disappointed Cyndi didn't win, some-one with a fantastic voice whho did the song proud.

    helen nottinghamshire
i loved this song the second i heard it

    cornish
poor result. cyndi should have won. what a mess at the end.

    anne - dawlish - devon
I think she should have won.

    Andrew Clarke, Derbyshire
Damn, it's a shame she only got 2nd. We've got a bunch of air pilots singing for us. No wonder Europe doesn't take us seriously anymore, last year a bunch of 18 year olds pretending to be school kids prancing around the stage and now the equivalent of the Fast Food Rockers. I'll still watch the show, but my hopes are not high... Forgive us Europe!

    Antonia, Crawley
I think it is a gr8 song. I think she shud be representin us nt scooch or wteva there called because that means many french may vote 4 us wen eurovision is on. I love the song x

    haylee birmingham
    boring

hannah owens - england - nottinghamshire
its a brilliant ballad .. i havnt heard one so well perfomred in years .. she should represtent us shes awesome and cooch is a hotel abroad kiddies dance along and cyndi i loved your performance .. dont give up hope :)

    Garry In Bolton
Lovely song and should have been forwarded to represent us in the contest

    Linda Glasgow
was dissapointed when this did not win, I was going to vote forth is song again but the numbers were not put back on the screen for voting to phone when the lines reopened soi could not vote for her, xxxx

    joyce walsall
great song shoulda been representing us

    donna in cheshire
fantastic song would of been englands only chance of winning this year

    stewart from greenock
this song was far the best in the show and should have won by a mile, questions have to be asked why it was announced that she did win then all of a sudden she didn't is this another phone rigging scam???

Kevin - age 52 - up in Scotland
I thought she was very good and sounded a bit like Celine dion, which is a good thing. The phone voting for the final 2 was a complete cockup - I wanted to vote for her but didn't know what number to dial because I had already voted for Big Brovaz in the 1st round and wasn't expecting a 2nd round, so I did not make a note of the number. I was really annoyed, expecially when Cyndi was declared winner only to be told she was not. Utterly terrible goings on.

    Gary, Aberdeen
Well, I think this is a terrific song. If this song had gone to Helsinki I'm sure it would have done very well indeed. I was in the MYMU audience last night, & although I think Scooch is OK, I'm just so disappointed Cyndi did not win.

    robert millar (jnr) scotland fife
was a great song i loved it

    Nathan, Stoke
I think Cyndi should of won, Scooch isn't going to go far on eurovision there song is annoying as the pizza hut song.Cyndi by far was the best and should of won

    fran,kent
its an ok song except from that cause shes fremch she doesnt prounces the words right in the song !

    Adam, Warrington, Cheshire
The song is amazing, the eurovision needed this girl. I agree with the comment below about Josh Grobans "You Raise me Up". Such a shame that she didn't get to represent britain, instead we get what I can only describe as poor steps impersonators with an even more poor song.

    Suzanne from Newcastle upon Tyne
What an amazing song and sung so beautifully, should have won by a mile! If the public are serious about winning this competition, then this is the song that would have won it for us. I just hope the song will be released into the charts regardless, and bring Cyndi the success she deserves.

    Jennifer and Annabel
Cyndi had most beutiful voice and song and she would have done brilliant at eurovision. Scooch are nothing compared to Cyndi and they shouldn't have won.

    Anita from Holland
Unfortunately no Cyndi in Europe. You made a big mistace with that pityful act you're sending to Helsinki. With Cyndi you could have won, what a song and what a voice... Very international instead of the nationalistic thing you voted vor.. How can you expect Europe to like that?

    Bob Clacton On Sea
This song was head & shoulders above the rest. Wogan should make a public apology for making such as almighty mess of the result then be pensioned off. He's "lost it" Song was a reminder its the Eurovision SONG contest & not for acts to use silly costumes & & gimics to hide lack of talent. If it sounded like "You raise me up" that must be because that was based on the old Scottish ballad "You'll take the high road" (Loch Lomond) Who is Cyndi? Read her write up.Been singing for years worldwide

    George, Belfast
was the better song ,felt sorry for her over the mix up, while scooch is a more fun entrant i think cyndi would have done better at eurovision

    david lancashire
brilliant.should be the one going through

    Andrew East Yorkshire
Great Singer, great song. Its really is a good job that this song/singer did not win MYMU, we would have had to host Eurovision next year. Hurrah for Scooch, another year off the hook!

    stacey, glasgow
i thouht the song was amazing and a thought you should have been representing the united kindom with it.

    Faye, Manchester
I think this is a fantastic song, it definitly should have won.

    Tricia - Horsham
A wonderful voice, sensitive and meaning lyrics and a sense of Britishness about the music. The Celts came from parts of France too! Unyet a song is picked to represent the UK that is so very awful by it's naffness. I was embarassed to watch Scootch strut their stuff. The best bit was the flag on the dolly trolley and of course the end of the song. I would not vote for the performance so why would others around Europe be expected to? I hope you release the song Cyndi on a CD - I would buy it if you make it an albumn. I am appalled comments were being made about your nationality bearing in mind the host of UK Euro has been for years, the treasure of Terry Wogan, who was born in the Eire. One of the other commentators sounded to me as though his origins were not fully of the UK. In our multi-racial society the decision sould have focused on the song rather than the singer's origins. I would love to receive the words of the song. Thank you. Good luck with your career. Regards Tricia

    Tom, London
douze points x 42 countries = 504 points noing else would have a chance

    Laurie, Stamford
I love it, but as always, the British public go for trashy, gimmicky songs (Scooch - reminiscent of Bucks Fizz). This type of song for the Eurovision is way out of date now. I hope Cyndi has recorded her song - I will certanly buy it.

    Peter Warren, Derby
Should have won. I can't beleive that crap song from Scooch has won. The anouncement was a fiasco, that poor girl first told she had won, only to find out Thunderbirds rejects had. As a big fan of Eurovision, I can only add I hope they are strong, they will need to be to hold everyone else up!

    Jamie Edwards - Frodsham
I Thought it was amazing! I also think it was great for britain that a foreign artist wanted to represent our country!

    Anne from Manchester
Absolutely fantastic. Should have been the winner

    Martin Dale Taunton
The songs very good to good for Eurovision and well song by Cyndi I'm sure it will do very well in the charts even better than the winner scootch where we thought they won fare and square can I detect a scandal soon I felt sorry for poor Terry Wogan

    John C, England
You take the high road and I'll take the low road??

    Briana
I think it is a very good song I hope she wins the competition it is also a shame she isnt 100% british like the rest.

    adam wood Leeds,west yorkshire
am amzing song, amazing wordsand what an amazing singer!!! Try again next year cyndi you will do uk proud!!!!

    Paul, Essex
Great song and performance by cyndi. Noticed last night we will be going to Eurovision armed with a crap tacky song once again. Are we really surprised we never win when we had let our chance slip away by picking the stupid aqua-ish effort. I hope Cyndi gets to the top or the charts with this one now.

    Alice Buckhurst Hill
yes it is a nice song it was the best song in making your mind up 2007 it should have won much better than sccoch with cyndi we might have the final of the eurovision song contest but with scooch we don't have much chance of wininig cyndi should have won she was the better singer.

    Bob, UK
Cyndi, I thought u were great! That Terry Wogan bloke was very annoying and said ur name! Don't worry, I'm behind you all the way! GO CYNDI! GO CYNDI!

    Jackie - Peterborough
The song was FANTASTIC!!! This should have been the winner!

    JOHN of TORQUAY
This was by far the best song: It had better get released on CD. I'm afraid we won't win in Helsinki this year. We had a great chance with Cyndi.

    Stephen London
Fantastic - would be great at a London show. Not Eurovision cheese unfortunately. Great voice, Great Outfit.

    jean lathey
i thoughjt it was a fab song and should be a big hit for Cyndi, pity it didn't win.

    Rob from Exeter
    Yawwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnn......

    Shane, Kent
I thought this was THE best, and should have one. She was fantastic, and with her song we had an excellent chance of winning for once!

    Barry ...........Manchester
This song is a Eurovision song contest WINNER , and i can't believe that ridiculous song Scooch sang has beaten it , what a complete farce ........ it doesn't matter whether she's english or not , she would have won in Helsinki with this ....... Scooch will come last , no doubt about it , we've dropped a right clanger here.

    kat london
hi cyndi, i think its bad how they treated u. me and my bro think ur the best one wat is wrong with everyone dont get me started on terry and fearn i think its a fix no one deserved that someone needs to complain to someone higher up i would to that

    Ian Nottingham
I thought it was the best saong by a long way. Will it be released as a single

    Pete Luton
Best I've heard for a very long time, way too good to win.The lady can actually sing

    DAVID NIELD-MANCHESTER
THIS SONG I THOUGHT WAS THE BEST AND IS BY FAR ,FOR MANY YEARS SHE HAS A FABULOUS VOICE AND DESERVED 2 REPRESENT THE UK IN EUROVISION IM SAD SHE DID NOT BUT HOPE THIS SONG GOES HIGH IN THE CHART MORE THAN HER RIVALS SCOOCH

    C M Whalen (Leicester)
This song should have won.....although Scooch was an entertaining act, when it appears among all the other novelty acts, it will not be a stand-out. I think the ballad would have shone out on the Eurovision night.

    Fiona , Manchester
SHE HAD AMAZING VOICE LIKE MIRAH CAREY, SHE SOULD HAVE WON. IT WAS PRETTY SAD SHE WON THEN BY MISTAKE SHE DIDNT IT WAS SMOOCH!!ANYWAY WELL DONE TO HER!!! SHE WOULD HAVE DONE GOOD WITH THE VOTES IN EUROVISION!!!

    Moomie in Middlesbrough
I loved it and i feel she should have been our representitive in Finland - but alas it was not to be ! Do us a favour love - put it out as a single anyways - ill buy it

    Clive Smith blackburn
vastlynbetther than the final choice do I detect a bit of skullduggery withteol annuncingn cyndi and scooch being chosen.

    Adam, Wales
It's a great song, I hope she does well in the contest... it does have similarities to "You raise me up" but remember, she didn't write the song... Best of luck Cyndi!

    Sheldon Sale Cheshire
Robbed buy a 1999 sound a like record

    Sheldon Parker
You shoud have won what a fiasco as usual

    Samantha, London
Was she not originally called 'Cherie' a few years back and sang a song called 'I'm Ready'?? Great song though, deserved to win

    jeff
complete set up/ fix announcing that cyndi had won/ then adbruptly saying the plane theme had won, you should be ashamed, just another set up as per premium rate competitions

    Rod from Surrey
Amazing voice - the best song we've had for years. How did this get beaten by a silly joke song which will get thrashed like last years.

    Elizabeth, Yorkshire
Nice song. Shame she's not 100% British like a true Brit entrant should be. Not a bad entry though. Will probably do well.

    Jac, Birmingham
I thinks is the best song in the competition, but it sounds like "You raise me up" of Westlife, or originally sang by Josh Groban

    Ash from Australia
So what if Cyndi is unknown. She is better than a has been like Brian Harvey. Please! Please please vote for Cyndi she is beautiful and has a great voice and considering that we are performing 19th lets take advantage of that and the fact that we will be performing after some aging drag queen. Lets give them some class. Great lighting and some choir like backing vocals! 12 points from Australia if we could vote!

    Karl - Cork, Ireland
This is the best song in MYMU this year the fact that she is a newcomer means she probably won't win but there is only one other ballad in the fianl so far - Bosnia and this is song 1 in the running order and so is unlikely to do as well as Cyndi would if she gets picked. This could actually win

    Iain - Western Isles
Best song and voice by a MILE!!!!!!!! If you want a winner it's SWEDEN!!!

    Grahame Weston. Tampere, Finland
WHAT A FANTASTIC POWERFUL SONG!! I have just listened to this song on myspace.com/cyndimusic and I was totally won over 100%. It is very rare a talent of this kind come's along and I truly believe the British public would be total fool's to dismiss such a talent as this singer, this song has great potential to actually win and be a worthy winner at that. I do hope that this beautiful ballad make's it all the way to Helsinki - IT GET'S MY VOTE!

    Graham in Edinburgh, Scotland
The melody is a complete rip-off of the old Scottish folk song "Loch Lomond."

    Tim, Aberdeen
I hate it... so it's probably a Eurovision winner.

    David, Milton Keynes
It's either this or Big Brovaz to win. I prefer Big Brovaz, although I won't mind if this wins, as there aren't many ballads of this kind in Eurovision 2007.

    Jonny - London
    Cyndi....sorry who are you?

    John - Swansea
Just seen her video on myspace.com/cyndimusic Wow wow wow!

    Scott/ london
Hmm, sounds like something from Titanic...shame it didn't go down with the ship, really

    David in Crete
Verse is copy of "Red is the Rose". Should be disqualified.

    Joanna, Peterborough
Does anyone remember Jessica Garlick (or however you spelt it)? I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this as I haven't read all the comments, but Jessica made it to 3rd with a big ballad. Admittedly it was a bit of a sad song and this is a classic love song, but I think this could be successful too...

    David United Kingdom
This absolutely has to win MYMU! It's by far the best British song available and could do very well in Helsinki this year, especially due to the fact there being no ballads by anyone else. :D Come on Cyndi!!! xxx

    silverships27
Sounds very Celine Dion? This is anothe entry that sounds like other songs 'You take the High Road' fused with 'Raise Me Up'..probably the easiet of all the songs to perform song..I can see it now..wind machine, girl in floaty dress..

    Nicholas Willmott, Bath
A pleasant ballad. If Cyndi is singing solo, it could be what we want, more Eurovision winners have been by a female soloist than any other stage formation (male soloist, male/female/mixed group). Sounds very much like Linda Martin's winning entry for Ireland of 15 years ago, "Why Me?" One of the best two entries in MYMU this year, it's got to be either this or Scooch.

    Charlie Salford
Fantastic! Beautiful Celtic feel, classy song!

    neal, chester
Personal fav for me is Big Brovaz. Favourite to actually win Eurovision has to be this one. Her vocals are spot on, maybe add a few extras like traditional british instruments and they hit the money wiv this one. It'll get 12 from Ireland cos it sounds celtic, and the whole personal history sound boads well with the rest of europe (helena - greek, sertab - turkish, katrina - british are a few examples). Throw in an orchestra, gospel choir, flowing white gown and a bitta smoke on the night and there's your winner!! plain n simple.

    Paul of London
I agree with "Ash from Australia". It`s time for a ballad to add some class to ever gimmicky Eurovision.

    barney london
brilliant! the first decent song england have produced

    Chris, Leeds
By far and away the best of the six songs this year. I have heard it in full on her MySpace page and it's amazing. There's hardly any decent ballads this year and I'm sure this would stand out on the night.

    Wayne Cambridgeshire
THIS HAS TO WIN!!! Listen to the song in full, it is AMAZING. I can imagine the atmosphere in Helsinki when this is sung... woah. Plus, it is a rank outsider at like 9/1 to win, it is definately worth a bet! The bookies are obviously plumping for the big names to win which isn't always true (look at last year - an unknown won mymu)! I hope the British public use their common sense and vote for this.

    Tony, Welwyn Garden City
    Just a very ordinary ballad.

    Vasken Davidian, London
Great song, great voice. The only song in MYMU that is worth calling a song! Best of luck!

    Blake - Enniskillen
bit crap, too slow reminds me of last years french song, il etait temps and look where that got, Barely anyone voted for it, although noone will vote for anyone of britains cause they are scared they will get bombed by their neighbours, we are by far the strongest nation in europe

    kevin sherwin /aberdeen scotland
sounds like a winner if not a tad similar to the old scots song loch lomand. put some bagpipes in it and europe will go ape for it

    Ash from Australia
This woman is gorgeous! Maybe a big ballad could do well in the contest. Hope she does well in whatever she does if she doesnt get picked because she is talented and beautiful.

    Eurofan!
    Song ok,but ive heard better.

    Mikey Lockwood Leeds (Eurovision mad!!!)
FANTASTIC!!!!! Defiantly a Eurovision winning song !!!!! Backing you all the way Come on UK!!!!!!!!!

    paul lincoln uk
i luv this. she as a great voice

Ria van de Velde - The Netherlands
I like this song most !! I hope this will go to Helsinki !!!

    C.J in Blackpool
I Think this Is the Only Desent Song up For Making your Mind Up This Year in other words i like this song alot and if the rest of the uk thinking the same im speaking on behalf of them well done hope u win Eurovision Good Look p.s if we dont win beacuse of your singing i will win because of your good looks You is fine ;)

    richard lincolnshire
good voice nice ballad' but nothing extra special'

    David H London
This is a nice old fashion song how Eurovision use to be. Hopefully this year we will forget all the gimics that Eurovision has gave us the last few years and we will see a good quality ballad that hopefully the UK will offer.

    Bille Leicester
I've heard all 6 songs all the way through and this is my favorite to win. its not got a stupid gimmick like previous years and could do well if she can pull off that performance on the night :D

    Sue Wrexham
Nice ballad, i think MYMU will be between Cyndi & Hawkins/Brown. Just remember our last Top Ten finish was with a ballad, Jessica Garlick 2002

    Sparkle, Chester
When I heard the clip, I thought it sounded like a cross between 'Your Raise Me Up' and Faith Hill's there you'll be. However, the full version is absolutely stunning and with a strong performance could sweep the board at MYMU and the ESC. The cheesemeister in me wants to send Scooch - but the realist thinks this is our best chance of a win. Only comment: the orchestration is a bit dated...bring it into the 'naughties' and this will go all the way.

    David, Scotland
Good voice, but forgettable. And may I point out that ‘I Will Always Love You’ was written by Dolly Parton, not Whitney Houston.

    John in Surbiton
A very good effort, however you do feel that her more well known opponents will triumph plus it doesn't really sound like a eurovision winner.

    Graham, North Yorkshire
Just listen to the song in full :) We HAVE TO SEND this song to eurovision!!!

    Gary, Bournemouth
Brilliant - has tough competition, but deserves to win

    Jonathan, London
At last, someone who can sing. REMEMBER IT HAS TO BE SUNG LIVE, and this lady is the only one who clearly can. A strong ballad always does well in Eurovision. Please not Scootch.

    Fernando
    A bit boring.

    DAVID LONDON
Best song by a mile please lets us send someone and a song that will do us proud vote for this one lads and my mother tell the housewife this is the choice for all.

    Damien / Australia
UK - this is the best of the bunch. The is great big ballad and not many people do ballads any more and they do well (think 'angel' in 05 / 'i'm not afraid to move on' in 03 etc..) So vote for this one! this is your best chance!

    Alec - London
This has to be the best song in this years selection! This has real power and emotion. If we can gt towards the end of the running order at the contest this has a really good chance. A real anthem which always carries strong in Europe!

    David, Scotland
I think this is the best by far, it would 'fly the flag' proudly for the UK in Helsinki - best of luck Cyndi.

    SAM in Shropshire
Nice song but eurovision is surely about political voting and love thy neighbour isn't it? Good songs seem to count for little!

    Mack in London
I take back the You Raise Me Up comment. I've now heard the whole song - IT IS AMAZING!!! It could actually win Eurovision, not just make the top ten, honestly! I was very very surprised! Go Cyndi!

    Andrew, Holbæk, Denmark
Needs a gospel choir to make it rock!

    Paul Knight - Welby, Lincs
Best song I've heard in my life. Tasty bit of stuff too!

Ria van de Velde - The Netherlands
For me is this song the best from 6 !! I hope this will be the UK entry, I'll will vote for it !!

    David Flynn
This is the winner. Love it!

    michael ...leeds
great vocal, beautiful girl, lovely song deserves a chance....

    Scott, Prestwick
sorry...but I hope the lawyers are standing by! the verse is a DIRECT 100% copy of the traditional scottish song "Loch Lomond"...as in "You'll take the High road and I'll take the Low road".... this is a breach of copyright surely and an exisitng song so sorry BBC and Cyndi, but this HAS to be disqualified before the contect teakes place.... shocking...!

    Dave J Durham
A nice ballad. No chance of winning the ECB or getting anywhere near, however it might end up somewhere in tenth position.

    Stephen Dundee
You Raise Me Up! Feelin slightly down on this one!!

karl fradgley - cork in ireland
I really wanna see either UK France Germany or spain winning this time - provided the song is good enough of course and I like the sound of this one chose wisely Britain

    Craig from newcastle
i think this song you could listen to itother and other agen this will win the eurovision if it wins making ure mind up defo and i will be voting for france lol

    Peter, Cornwall
It sort of reminds of You Raise Me Up, well its like a parody really. It's also like Angel, that Chiara from Malta sang two years ago. Although, not liking it, it could perform well. I can say, that it will not be selected though. Balads will not get selected from MYMU, especially with this years schedule.

    Stephen, London
I think, out of all the songs, this is the most appropriate song the UK could send this year. We need a good quality song with a good singer and this is it!

    Evo
This song is a blatant rip-off of "You raise me up". Unoriginal and uninspiring.

    Ivan - Malta
Ahhh........ Perfect for me :) By far the best contender this year.

    barber - manchester
    stop it...... are you serious!

    Greg, Tallinn (Estonia)
Might have more oomph live than it has here. Somehow I doubt it though.

    Benji from Southampton
*yawn* boring, there's just no oomph

    Steve the Fox in Cheshire
A true Eurovision song could have been written by or for Johnny Logan great chance!

    Chris from Luton
Exactly...big names don't win Eurovision...but a strong ballad sung by an outstanding vocalist can and do !

    Rob London
Good voice but haven't we heard this song before? It's a total rip off from You Lift Me Up. Sing that song along to this and it's the same tune. Shame it would have been a strong contender otherwise.

    Simon, Bournemouth
This is easily the best song the UK has considered for Eurovision since Imaani in 1998. A great hook, really anthemic, uplifting and reminiscent of Josh Groban's 'You Give Me Up'. Cyndi is a powerful singer - I bet she can cut it live. Also, this is a strong ballad, something Eurovision hasn't seen for a while. I dearly hope that the desperate C-list celebrity singers in opposition to Cyndi don't carry the vote because they're better known. VOTE CYNDI if you really cherish music and don't want the UK to again languish in the bottom 5!

    juan from bolton
Would be perfect to sing stood at the bow of a cross channel ferry. Low budget Dion.

    Zishan
Hmm.. shouldn't be .. You raise me up!!

    gary in edinburgh
this is quite a nice song and would do well but i prefer upbeat songs

    Shane Hamblin
It may affect her being unknown, however the song is quite good but not for Eurovision. Hawkins & Brown, Big Brovaz or Liz should win on 17th March.

    Phil, London
Nice song, good voice but too dated to win Eurovision. Despite that I think the UK public may just vote this one as our choice.

    Graham, Borehamwood
Great Singer Don't think its a winner though

    Cyndi who?
    whatever, please dont bother!

    Jenny Edinburgh
Dreary and dull. Please take your heart and leave.

    gert, Belgium
best song this year for UK

    oz
This is tripe. Sorry but what a cliched song and how the BBC think this should represent the UK is beyond me.

    DouzePoints
YES! This is a solid entry for Eurovision! Last time in 2002 when we put some like this in we came 3rd! Need I say more? She can sing and I'm sure she'll PERFORM on the night! Go Cyndi!

    Mark, London
People will go for a pee or put the kettle on when this comes on

    Graham, Gateshead
This might well be very good if Cyndi can cut it live!

    Richard Stuart-Turner, Peacehaven
Sounds like You Raise me up from that clip!

    Sue - Oxfordshire
From this short clip it sounds far too similar to You Raise Me Up - people may think its plagiarised.

    neanderthal west midlands
sounds similar to 'you raise me up' by westlife, no?

    Jay, Blackpool
you raise me up, to more than i can be..... oh sorry wrong song, very similar

    Kim
It's an old fashioned working of "you raise me up" boring

    Adam - Poland
Reminds me of Westlife a bit. That's ok.

    Martin Cheltenham
I like it - but who is she ????

    Eurosong07
    Ok, not a bad song.

    Adam Stewart - NOttingham
Its not bad, but it kinda sounds like josh Groben - You raise me up towards to end.

    Tom, Middlesbrough
It doesn't matter! The best song should win this contest, but it's always the most famous, in this country anyway... This sounds like a really nice song, but isn't it a bit close to You Raise Me Up?

    steve boon, plymouth
form the small clip this is great and could really prove to be something different to the ecxtravegancies of the entries so far to helsinki - could even get the crown, were due for a good power ballad/chanson to do well for the UK

    Michael, Birmingham
This sounds suspiciously like 'you raise me up' and it is equally fatuous!

    Wendy from Salisbury
    You raise me up?

    bobby, Plymouth
    errr.. NO!

    Mike, Beds
Am afraid it may suffer the same fate as Kym Marsh's Whisper To Me. Too Good for Eurovision.

    Andrew Collin
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. Spookilly similar don't you think?

    Nick, Manchester
Great voice, but the song is too slow and dreary on the first listen to do well at Eurovision.

    P3Charm Malta
You raise me up returns in a different title!! I like the song but it is copied :(!

    Brian, Manchester
Another Celine we do not need.

    Jambo, Scotland
    Who cares, AMAZING song!

    Mack
Sounds uncannily like "You Raise Me Up" - have we now stooped to plagiarism?

    Hellion from London
    Cyndi who?
