Terry Wogan should get maximum points for the humour he gives, I agree that this is a waste of time GREAT BRITAIN entering as points are given to neigbouring countries, GREECE winning??? were we watching and listening to nthe same contest?

but since when is Israel in europe?
Does that make Palestine in europe too? How about Morocco? Morocco is very close to europe, and the name sounds rather tropical. Any help here?

We didn't deserve to win, but the voting is now so political that the contest is no longer a fair contest, I believe its time we gave it a rest and pulled our money out to, its totally unfair on any UK entry to be humiliated in this way, we will be struggling for contestants soon.

The voting is so political that the whole event becomes pointless. If they want to make it just about the singing, don't reveal the nationalities of the acts until after the voting closes!

HAHAHAHa, is it me or were one of the bands ripping off Motley crew, bon jovi, guns 'n' roses, black sabbath and many other bands. I have to say though the eurovision songcontest has stopped the boring pop songs and replaced them with proper bands. I think its been a good contest this year!!!

i do wonder whether or not if javine had sung the greek song would we have been so far down the list in votes??? they just want our money our talent never comes into this competition.

Have you ever thought that we "the easterners" listen to the music of our neighbours more then to "high quality" english music. It is not political, it is just we vote for the sound we know!

there are no juries of self-elected djs now - it's all telephone voting. terry and ken seem to miss the point that the phone votes represent huge, highly vocal ex-pat populations: greeks in britain, turks in germany etc. even countries that might dislike each other (baltics-russia) still exchange hefty votes.

The only way the UK will ever win another Eurovision is if we split up into 4 nations (ie England , Wales , Scotland , N.Ireland) and get Jersey, Guernsey , Sark, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Shetland and the Orkneys into the voting as well as seperate states. Then we can count on about 120 points home bankers........Hell if Andorra & Monaco can dish out 12 points with their poxy small populations... why can't we have our principlaities in on it as well ???!

I thought Norway and the Swiss (or should I say Estonian?)were pretty good! We sucked - who thought an ethnic-style song would win again? Poor Javine - it was the song that let us down -though it might help if we had any neighbours...

Can't believe Javine has yet to have a point. Yes most of the songs sound the same, but Turkey;s song really identifies with the country. Why not get someone really popular to represent the uk?

With so many eastern european countries involved the contest has become so biased to these countries voting for other each other.
As the uk again has no points we should be relegated & boycott the competition.

After watching the Dutch singer go out in the semi final, I knew that unfortunately Javine would never stand a chance, despite a brilliant performance. Its an eastern european love fest and if the colour isn't right you definately won't win.

Mr. Wogan's commenting was just infuriating and embarassing for the whole British nation since every single comment of his was racist and arrogant! Shame on BBC for such a choice, I thought I was watching a European Contest.
