Good afternoon. My first proper entry into the diary - I've had a mad few days. Last night I went to watch the semi-final. The Cypriot girl is great but I was a bit surprised by the voting! I didn't drink though - because we are working such long days that I need to stay on top.
I was up at 8am this morning - in time to talk to Terry Wogan on his breakfast show on Radio 2. I really enjoyed it - I sang 'Hold Onto Your Love' twice - because the ISDN line went down so I had to do it again!
I've only managed to get about an hour in the sun today - I ate lunch on a hotel roof terrace while doing about ten interviews at the same time. I'm looking forward to this evening because my mum and one of my friends are arriving in Istanbul. They'll probably be with me later when i do my webchat. See you all later!

Massive news - Abba have made a very special video for the big night and it is incredible! We'll have full details in the news section later, but it really is must-see TV.
James is on his day off - so I'll get him to get in touch later. He's lazing around by the pool...

The French and Belarus' parties were last night. We were given the strongest vodka we have ever tasted and everyone is hungover today!
Paddy O'Connell spent this morning in the hammam with Jonsi, the Icelandic entrant. He's a pin-up and the guy who is getting everyone's attention. We've just returned from the Nordic pool party where Jack, the UK mascot [a rubber duck], was stolen from the pool. We suspect the French delegation, or maybe the Austrians have swiped him.

We went to a couple of parties last night - on the way back from the official tourism party which was held in a palace [!] our bus was gatecrashed by some Australians and we had a sing-song all the way back to the hotel.
We've got lots of other teams staying in our hotel - it's all very Scandinavian! Looking forward to the pool party tomorrow...
