[approx. 3 minutes]
France's Louisa Baileche
Louisa Baileche grew up in Ivry Sur Seine in the suburbs of Paris. She was brought up listening to her mother's traditional Italian songs and started taking dance lessons at an early page. She followed an unusual route in her performance career; moving from dance to theatre before moving on to singing. She has sung for a number of different bands, inspired along the way by her favourite singers such as Maurane, Alain Souchon, Michel Jonasz, Annie Lennox, Idir and more than all Oletta Adams.

'The Moon and the Stars' is a song about the sky and the ocean. The ocean is represented by the piano, enhanced by oriental sounding percussions and violins.
LYRICS
Things are no longer the same
Since we both got lost
The rivers, the ocean,
All the seas stood still
And the earth, for me no longer turns
I examine the heavens
Like a deluded angel
Oh my sweet love,
where are you, my sweet love ?

I was full of joy, then I've gone through sorrow
I shared your life, now there 's no home for me
I know I shouldn't talk about it
And at least try to slightly forget
Each other we had promised the moon and the stars
Not a single rainy day, forever sunshine
I know I shouldn't talk about it
Yet I never ceased loving you

I certainly know my heart
Which is now on the look-out
A single memory, even a deluding one
And all my blood rushes back
And the earth, for me no longer turns
I feel naked and deprived of my wings
Like a fallen angel
Oh my sweet love
Where are you my sweet love ?

Things are no longer the same
Since we both got lost
Oh my love,
Where are you my sweet love ?

I was full of joy, then I've gone through sorrow
I shared your life, now there's no home for me
I know I shouldn't talk about it
And at least try to slightly forget
Each other we had promised the moon and the stars
Not a single rainy day, forever sunshine
I know I shouldn't talk about it
And at least try to slightly forget

The moon and the stars…
…forever sunshine
not talk about it…
…to slightly forget
The moon and the stars…
…forever sunshine
not talk about it…
And yet I never ceased loving you
