David London
My work colleagues think I'm happy at work, the truth is my secret earpiece and radio on my computer keeps the smile on my face!
Moira from Sandy
I listen on the car radio going to and from work (laughing with Terry down the A1), on the computer when I'm indoors and on the radio on an extension lead in the garden.
Grainne, Bielefeld, Germany
On my PC at work. Great to have the live link. But best of all, no ads. Although BFBS is available here on the radio, the quality does not match that of BBC2.
Paul in Singapore
I'm using that t'internet. It is fantastic that despite being in Singapore with work at the moment, I can still listen to Radio's 2 & 4. Life would not be the same without them!
Roy Endacott, Bendigo, Victoria, Australia
I now live in Australia and miss radio 2. The only way I get to hear it is via my computer
Jim Martin, Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare, Ireland
I moved from UK to Ireland 3 years ago and really missed Radio2 until I discovered I could get it on Sky TV. I usually listen to Wogan and Mike Harding (please, please lets have more folk music on radio and TV!)
Mike from Radcliffe, Manchester
I've been listening to the John Lennon/Yoko Ono interview from 1980 with Andy Peebles, recorded 2 days before Lennon's death.
Only made possible by BBC Radio online.
It evoked marvellous memories of the man and his music and is British broadcasting at it's best.
Nigel in Sunny Brighton
Mostly over the 'net. Can't wait to get broadband so I can listen in glorious high quality stereo. I would buy a DAB radio, but cost is still a factor. My trusted PC serves me brilliantly, as I can listen while I work at home. The ability to listen to other shows in the onlline archive is a fantastic feature!
Jane - Walnut Creek, California
On my coputer at work - got the website info from my brother - hi Phil! - and of course whem I am back home in Pembs I listen all the time! It's weird hearing youn guys talk about going home when I am just getting to work and having that first cuppa!!
Gareth in Austin, TX
I listen via the internet at work and at home, and I'm dreaming of the day I can listen to Radio 1, Radio 2, FiveLive et al. in my car. The 'listen again' feature gives me the opportunity to listen to Mark Radcliffe at the hour his show is meant to be heard. a great way to drift off!
Steve Bromsgrove Worcs
Morning Kitchen Radio while washing up and scrubbing before working 12 hour day.Alex Lester from 4.30am to 6.00am
Evening. Driving Home with Johnie Walker in my 17 year old banger. Good radio though.
John Hertzberg - Mexico City
I listen on my PC. I love the selection available on Radio 2. I just heard the Audrey Hepburn programme in "Putting on the Style". Really good. What a wonderful service. Great programmes, no commercials, and it's free. Not only Radio 2, but throughout the BBC. I'd like to say a great big "thank you" to eveybody concerned. John - Mexico City
J. Keith Walters, London, Ontario, Canada
Hi
I try to listen at work as much as I can... of course Johnnie is a favourite foing way way way back to hwen he was illegal. I really enjoy the quizzes with Steve and the specialty programming taht is available for replay. Is Alan Freeman really stlli alive???? Anyway the music mix and commentary beat the heck out of the repetition on radio over here. Good job, keep it up.
The station is much better now than when I left for Canada in the mid seventies
Jo from Gillingham Kent
I listen to Terry on the radio in the bedroom.
Mornings I listen to evening shows on my pc.
Afternoon Steve on the car radio/lounge radio, and on a sunny afternoon lazing on the sun lounger I listen through the TV! So really I listen to Radio 2 all day using most formats!
anita, nottingham
radio in the car, pc at work...even tho everyone takes the micky out of me for listening to 'old peoples music' (im 30) my conversion rate is quite high!!
Ricardo, Stockport
If I`m at work, on my battered old Sony Walkman - at home, on my Freeview box. The comments that come up on the screen are often quite funny!
Natasha, Leeds.
I listen to Radio 2 nearly all day, firstly in the morning I tune into the lady who feels like my long lost aunt "sarah Kennedy". When I get into work I tune into Terry via my pc, and from there listen for the rest of my day. I don't think I would enjoy my working day so much if it wasn't for radio 2. So thank you Radio 2 keep up the good work!!!!!!
Nicola - Brough, East Yorkshire
On my computer. I work from home and Radio 2 makes the workplace a much better place to be! Thank you for your endless entertainment.
Zoya Siddiqui, Harrow, Middlesex
I enjoy listening to Radio2 on my computer whilst working - relieves the tedium ! Want to buy a Dab radio for the kitchen where I seem to spend much of my working day too!
Jo from Buckinghamshire
I listen to Dermot's Saturday club on my TV at home when I am doing all my jobs. It means it goes to every TV in the house so I don't miss any of the music or conversation. It makes those jobs a little less boring!!
Anna, Stockholm, Sweden
Via my computer. I really missed Radio 2 when we moved to Sweden two years ago, so when we got a broadband connection it was one of the first things I put in my 'favourites'. I usually listen for 2-3 hours a day, catching part of Terry Wogan and Ken Bruce in the mornings.
Tog, Annan, South West Scotland
I usually listen in the car, but I am planning to emigrate to Bulgaria, so I have now set up my computer to receive radio 2 and I can listen at home as well as on the road.
When I move to Bulgaria I will have to stop driving, because you won't be in my car anymore, but I will get you at home on my PC.
Regards
Tog
Ian, Hong Kong
Radio 2 is absolutely the best! I listen every day in work, and often on my computer at home. My day consists of Lester, Kennedy, Wogan (or Woss at the mo), Bruce, Vine and Wright. Though I wouldn't lose any of these, I look forward to the Lynn Bowles (the silkiest voice on radio!) Show, one day. And the "Listen Again" feature means I never miss Sounds of the Sixties. Great service!
Dai, South Wales
Dab in the kitchen, by the bed (Bug) and in the living room.
Dab when out walking the dog.
FM in the shower and car.
When will they make a shower proof DAB receiver.
Via the net in my den.
As I only ever listen to radio 2.. Why do I need 4 DAB receivers? It's perfectly good on FM :)
Dan, Midhurst, West sussex
Paul Jones or Mark Lamarr on my iBook over breakfast - Great Job!!
Amanda Tomkins - Stourbridge West Midlands
I listen in the car on the way to work or uni and also on the net when I get home.
It's great!
ian /Baden Switzerland
I listen to radio on the internet as I live in Switzerland.Enjoy it very much brings the music home .
Lindsay Milne, Buckingham
On FM through a decent hi-fi. Digital is awful and as for MP3s the sound is compressed and trash. It's no coincidence that there is a vinyl revival but Digital will eventually catch up. It's taken proper hi-fi manufacturers years to get the warmth and acoustic whole from CD that vinyl provides.
Claire - Worcester
Well I listen to you in the mornings on my tv whilst getting ready and then when i get into my car setting off on the school run with the children chanting BBC RADIO 2 in full voice then once back home purched in front of my pc I listen live oh your always on in the kitchen on the DAB radio the children are enjoying Jonathan in the mornings the children are trying to think of a question to ask Robbie at the moment so thet can text you looking forward to the show on Friday!!!
Paul Johnson, Blackpool Lancs.
I like to come home from work and catch up on the shows I missed during the day on my Apple Mac using the BBC Radio player. If my daughter is listening to music on my computer then I listen in on Freeview. Two great services.
David Keeble, Suffolk
I have just discovered Radio 2 on my computer thanks to my wife. She pestered me to sort out the real player download which I reluctantly did; how I wish I had done it sooner. I can now listen to Sounds of the sixties, Mark Lamaar, Brian Jones, Johnny Walker, Lulu, the list goes on, all at my convenience!
I love it!
Jackie, Westborough, Massachusetts, USA
Thanks to my computer I can listen to my favorite BBC djs again even though I now live in the US.
Alan.........Warrington
I listen through my computer at work evryday.
Andy, Exeter
On computer I use Listen Again to catch up with Mark Radcliffe's show if I miss it.
Hilary Reid, North Yorkshire
I absolutely love the fact that you can listen to your radio shows at any time over the internet. Everytime I go onto my computer I now catch up on Jonathan Ross' shows (which are fantastic!) and I'm slowing discovering other shows that I really enjoy. I'm now a Radio 2 fan and don't think I'll leave the station for quite a long time!
Pat, Pontypool, South Wales.
I listen on my computer. I work from home and Radio 2 keeps me company during the day. My job often takes me to the US where listening to Steve Wright in the Afternoon becomes a morning experience. US Radio just can't compete!
Allison, by Schiphol, Netherlands
Am at work in the Netherlands and this is the first time I have listened to Radio 2 via Internet (I have listened to Radio 1 a few times in the past by Internet!)...just as I clicked to Listen Live I was blasted by my all-time favourite song - Take On Me by a-ha...looks like you may have a new regular listener!
Ken S/Oregon USA
I listen to Radio 2 on the Internet--usually at home and also occasionally at work. I usually catch Alex Lester, sometimes Janice Long. I enjoy your music variety and the obvious professionalism of your presentation.
Tony Oxtoby, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA
I mainly listen on my office PC where I have a high speed connection. There I can relive the music, presenters and old comedy shows I grew up with before moving to the US -100 Best Tunes, Friday Night is Music Night and Sound of the 60s are always favorites but that man Mark Lamarr really puts together some excellent shows.
Martyn Comley, Milano, Italy
I live in Milan in Italy where I have worked as a teacher for nearly 3 years. I very rapidly grew disenchanted with the largely peurile Italian radio and TV (at least that which is broadcast during my waking hours). Having recently purchased a laptop and fast internet connection the rediscovery of BBC Radios 1, 2, & 4 has been a revelation and will only serve to hasten my eventual and final return to the UK. Since arriving here I've always watched BBC World television but the arrival of BBC Radio has turned my apartment into a little corner of England. I and my American flatmate find the BBC service - Radio, TV and websites - absolutely incredible. I'm looking forward to getting to know the new services 6 & 7. Please tell Mark Radcliffe he makes my day.
Jennie Papps Bristol
I listen in various ways. My favourite show is jonathen ross on saturday am. which I try to listen to live on my (roberts) digital radio otherwise I listen to a "repeat" further on in the week via my computer. During the day I listen to R2 on the car radio (but not in the evenings as none of the shows interest me apart from on a Saturday)
I also listen to R2 and 6M occasionally via the TV- all depends what room I'm in really
Hope this helps
Julian Gold, Neasden, London, NW10 0DR
Often at the youth centre which I run in the Kenton, Middlesex area, I put on our Sky television system and listen to Radio Two and Five Live through the TV when I'm preparing activities for the evening members. It really is a super facility. I particularly enjoy the music documentaries that are produced with such affection and desire to get the message over e.g. Michael Freedland's recent series on the brilliant songwriter Frank Loesser (please repeat it soon, or at least put it back on the internet!)
John in Tuebrook, Liverpool
In the kitchen on an old FM receiver, in the dining room via a digital radio (that creates a very distracting delay if both radios are on at the same time!) - and through my computer upstairs, a few minutes more delay again. Its like listening to the radio in a canyon - the echoes never end!
John Cameron Perth Western Australia
I agree with Stu New York the quality of radio around the world falls short of the standard British people take for granted. I'm an ex-pat and listen via the internet, thanks a million.
Edwina T / Victoria, Australia
I listen to Tel every day on my computer. We've been in Australia for 14 years now but one thing the Aussies can't beat us at is the likes of the Beeb and Terry.
Peter Yardley Wooler Northumberland
We can't get DAB where we live. When we gonna get it????
Jim Mitchell, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.
I listen in the car, on the tv, on the computor, but mostly on my hi fi. I am a 36 year old man, and am constantly getting stick for listening to radio 2. But i still listen as it gives the best variety of programmes, by a mile. And Terry Wogan is hilarious!
Mark , Rome
Mark, Rome, Italy. As I run a little company here in Rome(atasteofrome.com) and therefore live here most of the time, its so wonderful to know that the British are still world leaders in a lot of things, especially radio! Being surrounded here by so many awe inspsiring things, You'd be forgiven for thinking Italy was the cultural capital of the world, Well maybe it was , Not now , its a cultural desert, And when you see & hear the quality of programming available on Italian radio & T.V It makes you realise just how wonderful the B.B.C are. The radio and indeed the B.B.C webite over the internet is an absolute godsend, Wonderful , The Italians have absolutly know idea what quality programming is about , maybe you shoud invite the Idiots from state broadcasters RAI over & tell them how its done! Keep up the good work
Mike Bird, Stroud
Having invested in broadband recently, it's a real pleasure to listen to Radio 2 at work through my computer without interruptions. Played through some decent stereo speakers, the sound really is first class.
It's also good to be able to hear those Radio 2 programmes which go out in the wee small hours of the morning. Or to check out the playlist of one particular show where the DJ rarely tells the audience who or what is being played (Steve Wright, please note!).
Nadine, Luxembourg
Over Broadband finally... feel like being back in Blighty, studying... Ross on Saturday... brilliant.
Sandy Monteath and Emmanuel Meme ; Sans Soucis ,
via the internet here in the beautiful'Seychelles Islands' in the Indian Ocean where I have to say the local station is pretty awful most of the time !.
Since getting our wireless broadband link in the last month our lives have been transformed.
I am Sandy from Glasgow, Scotland. and my local boyfriend a Seychellwa man called Emmanual like me is a firm favourite of the choice and variety of music on BBC Radio Two.
Thanks for your time.
John - MOscow
Laughing my head off to Jonathon Ross on my laptop, while staring out at the Moscow morning
Tony - Isle of Wight
Everyday on DAB radio, 9 till 5 its Radio 2. No more dodgy anologue! Best of all if we're busy and miss something we know its available online, best of both worlds. Having seen one recently I'm tempted by the in-car DAB radios now too.
Bill Posters, Isle of Man
I love BBC radio and listen every day.
I can either use analogue radio, digital tv or the net.
The BBC has not yet rolled out DAB or Freeview to our fair Island :(
Max Tyler, Bromham, Wiltshire
I work at home via a Virtual Private Netwrok to my office computer. The best way to keep the connection "live" is to listen via the Internet, so Radio 2 is playing 10 hours per day over my broadband connection!
Tim, Sylvan Lake, Canada.
Here in Central Alberta, we listen to Terry Wogan in the morning. I start the programme at 7:30am and we enjoy a semblance of the routine that we used to enjoy when we lived in the U.K.
Chris, Sheffield
I listen online through my Mac computers. Quality beats FM radio into a cocked hat! And I listen to shows I've missed when Radio 2 loses it's way a little and goes back 30 years!
Charles and Christine Cannon, Montgomery, Alabama,
We are listening to BBC Radio 2 on our computer. Why do you not repeat Sarah Kennedy's shows?
Keith Evison chelmsford essex
on line, our bbc is so damm good the quality of sound on 5.1 is too good to be true, listen again has changed my way of listening to the radio,D.J mr walker is the best
Andrew in Swansea
we usually listen on the radio, but at the moment i'm listening online (computer). i was recently out in Patagonia and its was nice to listen to wogan in one of the internet cafe's.
thanks
Penny Roberts in Manchester
I listen to Jeremy Vine in the evenings - via 'Listen again' on the website. It's fantastic to be able to pick up to day time shows I would otherwise miss during the working day. It would be nice to be able to skip 3 minutes instead of 5, so one could skip the odd less-favoured song. The current 5 mins usually skips the music plus a bit of the discussion. Even so, 'Listen again' is a fantastic service I would hate to be without. Well done!!
Craig McMahon Kelowna , British Columbia
must agree with Linda in Ontario , cant live without Steve Wright and British comedy. Been in Canada since 1977, and cant stand radio over here, far to many adverts & brainless presenters. listen via internet here in British Columbia
Adam, London
I listen through the Radio Player on my laptop - all the best shows are on at times when I can't listen but I can play them whenever I want with this. I can carry it around the house and never have to worry about it thanks to wireless broadband - I think the player is worth the license fee by itself!
Dougie, Stone, Staffordshire
I listen to R2 all day. Sarah on the clock/radio, Terry on the surround sound and in the car, throughout the day on an ancient radio/cassette player at work, then Jonny and Sally in the car or on the PC when I get home.
When are you going to introduce a global licence? All those ex pats soaking up the sun by the pool are getting to listen for free!!!
Sonya currently working at home in Redhill, Surrey
I work from home one day a week and my 'colleagues' for those days are the radio presenters and callers. Its great to hear all those shows I'd otherwise miss through being in the office and keeps me from feeling lonely!
Linda, Ontario, CANADA
On my PC
Moved here in 2002 from Yorkshire, I love living in Canada but can't live without Steve Wright !
Roger/London
Any way I can - that is PC, Sky, laptop, set top box! As an IT manager in a school we often get asked can we record a programme from the radio but it is on at the weekend! No problems as we can get it over the net on Monday as a listen again option! A great tool not only at home but in schools too as Radio 4's economics type of programmes, for example, are a great resource and help in the sixth form studies of the subject.
Jim and Sarita Seton. La Manga, Costa Calida, Spai
We have moved out to Spain on the Costa Calida and the only way we can get some radio with sanity and quality is by listening on-line via our computer. The other English speaking radio stations her must have learnt their skills via correspondence course...yuk!
We listen througout the day and welcome the contact with good old blighty. We dont miss the weather or traffic though, listening to Sally in the evenings telling us that this road is shut or that motorway is congested makes us sigh with relief and reach for another long cool drink as we sit by our pool.
Jen - Las Vegas, USA
US radio is so jam packed full of dreadful advertisements that I gave up on it soon after I got here. Thankfully I can get my Radio 2 fix on the internet at work and bask in the ad-free world of the BBC!
Henriette - The Highlands in Scotland
Currently on my Laptop - I also listen via the dvd player and it is always on my car radio - I just wished the reception would be better across the mountains while driving - I have to keep on searching for the station again.
There is nothing like the BBC, after 10 years abroad - it is wonderful to be back to professional radio again. Our kids love it too - they call Wogan "That funny old man"
Linda living in Tenerife.
I listen through the internet on my computer. We have a couple of English stations over here but they're no comparison. I've been listening to Terry Wogan and Steve Wright forever so it's like hearing old friends from back home.
dean moyes, salt lake city, utah, usa
on my computer. but im out of the country, youre a great link to the motherland!
Gillian Holter-Hovind, Norway
I listen on my computer, and keep in touch with the Archers, Woman's hour and Good ole Radio Two. The BBC makes life on a Norwegian farm a little more homelike. I only wish I could tune in in the car!
Joan, Tirana, Albania
via the internet - to Sounds of the Sixties and Jonathan Ross in real time on Saturday mornings, to Wogan when I get home from work and to other "listen agains" that look interesting from the website info.
I think it will be a while before we go digital round here...
Ian Brown, Livingston, Scotland
I listen to all the radio2 mob, being a truck driver and on the road early I usually catch Alex (slap my top) Lester half way through his show then its the soft and gentle voice of Sarah kennedy, then i become a T.O.G. with Tell at 07:30hrs, Ken Bruce my fellow Scotsman until i hear whats going on "on the grapevine" at twelve with Jeremy.
You save the best till last with Steve Wright in the afternoon, ask steve to e-mail me with that "Old Woman's" name, what the hell does he have to keep her name a secret for ?
I sometimes catch mr walker if I am working a bit late but i have to go home some time after a hard day listening to Radio 2
Kindest Regards Ian Brown, Livingston, Scotland
Robert – Stafford – Staffordshire
I listen at work on the interweb (as my friend calls it!) and sometimes catch-up on an old programme (eg Paul Jones). Volume controls on the computer keyboard make it easy to quieten or mute the radio when neccessary.
Michelle, Plymouth
I listen via my TV in the morning. I wake up with Sara then drive to work with Terry and work all day with the crew listening on a DAB radio until Steve sends me home at 5. Then I drive home with Jonny. I love radio 2.
DR Piechowski Kettering England
I log on whilst doing paperwork after my surgeries. The debates are cracking especially the fox hunting one such raw feelings all round !
Bravo keep up the good work .
Simon, Cardiff
I listen at work on the web so I -do- miss Jeremy but then I don't miss the wonderful specialist music shows via listen again.
Listen again is the most important thing to happen to Radio for decades. Thanks BEEB.
Tracy, Auckland, NZ
I listen via the net, and as many other's
have said the sound quality is great and it's
great to hear the mix of music, chat and
commentary. No stations in NZ as good!! Move
to NZ - it's terrific!!
Kev , Manchester Airport
I listen on my way to work in the car and then when i get here via my computer. Keep up the great programmes. The listen again facility is great, listening to Proms in the Park again, fantastic.
Amanda Blackett from Beverley, East Yorkshire
I listen at work via my computer - I wouldn't miss Jeremy Vine or Steve Wright for anything -and if i'm out with work its on my radio in the car.
Emma - Winchester
Via internet at work, in the car when waking up in the morning and in the shower!!! Does it count if I sing along and answer back as well!!!
Nick Hughes, Lugansk, Ukraine
I listen every day for about five hours on my computer, as I live in the very eastern part of the Ukraine and pretty much nothing works, especially my telephone and microwave transmitter and broadband sattelite receiver when it is raining.
Johnny Walker is my favourite show, but he was better when he used to do the Saturday sequence when Radio 1 could only get FM from radio 2 for five hours, on Saturday afternoons, eons ago. I also used to love Roger Scott when he did his late night shows on Saturday & Sunday nights.
Jon from Melksham
I listen on the family PC most of the time whilst I'm searching the net, when I get mine conected I'll probably listen on the PC rather than my radio as I don't have great reception.
Peter Hinkins. Deal Kent
In the car weekdays to Terry Wogan; or Ken Bruce if I lay in.
Johnathan Ross on Saturdays on the way to rugby matches in the winter.
Steve Wright's Sunday love Songs at home through Sky.
Usually rest of day during the week through my computer at work but I admit to playing replays of other radion 2 shows during Jeremy Vine's show.
Just listened to Proms in the Park. Excellent.
Ingrid from Dubai
I listen on my computer. I live in Dubai so as I begin my work I listen to Sarah and I finish my day listening to Jeremy Vine. Keeps me in touch with what is happening in the UK.
Claire Acton-PageFalmouth Cornwall
I listen via the webb at work, so I don't miss good old Terry and his mates, or Jeremy at lunchtime.
Jaimie Dobson, Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire
At work on my computer via a 1Mb ADSL line (generally Radio 2 and Radio 7) and also many of the Radio 4 afternoon plays via the 'Listen Again' feature. At home via a Digital Radio set.
Alex Gamberini - Bedford/Milton Keynes
Hi
I Listen to Radio2 in the car and throughout the day on my D/T computer.
Please display a photo of Sally Bosman on your web page.
I loooooveee her sexy voice and all her bantering with Johnny, whilst listening attentively on my way home, after a stressful day at the office.
Thank you to your great team. Keep up the good work!
One of your many fans.
traicy robertson, winnipeg, canada
on line, I am an expat geordie livin in Winnipeg Canada, so I tune in every weekeday night fer alex Lester, also love jonathon ross, mike harding and radio dramas, can't wait fer the start of "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" on radio 4 as well....I am a mature student studying fer my masters so I tune in and listen while I am 'working'on papers etc....:)
Now If I could just get all of the BBC this way, it would be like I had never left home....lol!!!!!
Richard K, Cambridge
Sitting at the kitchen table, with a bowl of cereal and my Mac PowerBookG4, and Bob Harris's Thursday show (even though it's half two on Tuesday morning). Real.com's oily website put me right off installing RealPlayer, but -- now I have -- the actual RealPlayer10 for Mac OS X software seems pure! Couldn't have done it without: Apple, 802.11g, ntl broadband, and most of all the BBC. The 21stC hey... radio with a pause button is so >civilised<.
Donna, Essex
I listen.....
The Old Fashioned Way (Radio)
The Strange Way (TV, via digital)
The Techy Way (on the PC)
The New Way (on DAB Radio)
Faves are
Terry Wogan, Ken Bruce, Steve Wright, Jonnie Walker and Jonathon Ross
John from Thatcham
We listen to you on our laptops when we are on the move, Brill service and great to listen to while working.
Sally; Burnley
I mainly listen at work thru the computer and enjoy jeremy vines debates and Steve Wright!
Also like waking up to Sarah and going TO work with Terry and FROM work with Johnny and Sally! But travelling ont he M6/M61 reception leaves a lot to be desired.
Weekends at home. Gone off Jonathan Ross, getting toooo disjointed/complicated to follow! Music giong the way of Radio 1! But thought i would miss Dale Saturday afternoon's countdown, but Dermott is going well so far!
Elaines not doing too badly either!
Steve in Tamworth Staffordshire
Lsten to Radio 2 whilst on the computer. Also listen via SKY occasionally. Usually catch up with the Archers when I don't catch it live. Sad old 59 year old
John Paul, Adelaide, Australia
We have recently started to listen to Radio 2 via the internet, the radio waves just aren't strong enough to get across to us here in Adelaide,Oz. Always used to have the radio tuned to R2 until we left the UK in 2002, finally got the PC to work and it's fantastic to have our friends back on again. Radio here is banal, lacklustre and full of ads...awful stuff. Keep up the excellent work, we are so proud of you! ps, no-one we have met so far has heard of RDS and they are amazed that I used to set my car radio to interrupt the normal programmes with traffic reports!
Marie Coventry West Mid
I listen to Radio 2 from my T.V earlier in the morning then via my P.C when the children get up.In the afteernoon i listen while I'm driving doing my work. In the evening I can sometimes switch you on via T.V if not i switch on with my mobile phone with the help of head phones. When I'm the bath i turn my stereo on pretty loud. Thank the lord for technology.
liz reigate
I work in an office so I listen via the web-site and god help anyone who changes the channel. The "old lady" really does make my day.
Nick, Eastbourne
I work at home alone, so enjoy listening to Steve Wright through the internet.
Roger Price, Utrecht, Holland
Via internet! I can't pick up any BBC FM stations in Holland, son using internet is the only resource. The BBC Radio Player is also great for time-shifting: listening to Wogan and/or Walker in the evening is a great alternative to BBC television - which we can receive in Holland.
Stephanie, Denver USA
I listen via the Internet - I have it hooked up to the speakers throughout the house. With the time difference I get a bit of Jeremy to listen to whilst getting my kids' breakfast ready. Get a bit of Steve Wright when I am trying to get them dressed and in the car for school. It's great to listen to the replay shows too - makes washing up a lot easier. I NEVER listen to American radio, It just doesn't compare!
Karen, Ellesmere Port
On the odd occasion when I work at home instead of a busy office, listening to Radio 2 whilst I work on the internet keeps me sane...and stops me talking to myself
Cathy, Oxfordshire
I have just started working from home instead of a busy office and find it too quiet without Radio 2 on to keep me comopany! I listen to the most daytime shows live on my 'normal' radio in my office or out and about, especially Ken Bruce, Steve Wright, Johnnie Walker and Jeremy Vine's debates. I also love to replay shows I have missed on my computer, especially the live concerts you air at weekends - they are great!
G Jervis London
As soon as I arrive home on friday I tune in to Pick of the Pops on the PC - I can't listen on saturday afternoon. Why has it gone off air?????
Jlie Hay on Wye
I listen at work via my computer, it is a fantastic service.
Eloise, Christchurch, New Zealand
All our office of 6 people have spent years working in the UK and we all enjoy listening to the BBC - the weather, sport, great music, even the traffic reports make us laugh.
'Listen Again' is a great feature...shame Steve Wright is not it has he is BEGUILING.
Put on Steve!Put on Steve!Put on Steve!!!
Glen/Dewsbury/West Yorkshire
I listen on my computer.
I have digital TV, but wouldn't use it to listen to the radio.
Nicola / Düsseldorf
I listen whenever I am alone in the office - keeps me company!
Nazaret Shamlian Muswell Hill London N10 nazar@sha
I listen to Radio 2 via the Internet.I can now listen to my favourite station while I am surfing the Net. Isn't it wonderful!
Susan Feary Mildenhall, Suffolk
Just started to listen via Internet - super quality! Only thing is a bit diconcerting if we have radio on in another room, as there is a time delay - so here the same thing again when moving from room to room!!
Neil Wilson, usually in Norfolk / Suffolk
Out in Arizona Working with the RAF, what better way to listen than via the Hotel provided Broadband!
Dermot's Saturday club is really quite brill!
Love Steve Wright & Johnnie Walker.
CAM, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
The BBC Radio internet service is BRILLIANT!
Here I am in the USA, tuning in over the Web to the Paul Jones that I loved listening to when I lived back in Blighty.
Pretty ironic I can't get the same quality Blues show over here!
What's more, I used to tape it 'cos I was tied up Thurday evenings - now I can listen whenever is convenient.
And no commercials - I don't think people realise what this means - don't EVER give this up.
Auntie Beeb Rocks!
Mike, Esher
I like to download the shows so I can record them to CD for playback when I'm abroad or just to play in the car instead of listening to the breakfast show
It's also a good way of catching on things you may have missed earlier.
Garth Edge, Vancouver British Columbia, Canada
Listening to Radio 2 via the Internet on my computer particularly on a Sunday. It's excellent while it is streamimg but frustrating to have to reconnect about every 20 minutes. This is aggravating when listening via the Radio Player to programs from the previous week because each time it stops and I have to reconnect, the program starts from the beginning again and I rarely am able to hear the end of a program.
Kelly, Essex
I listen to radio two in my car when travelling to and from work, on my DAB radio in my kitchen when cooking and tidying up and through my television in the living room.
Lynchie, Aberdeen
Well - for a start I'd listen to more music ANYWHERE if there was some decent country music shows, or even a whole radio station devoted to country music on the BBC. Considering it's the most popular music in the UK, after pop itself, it's criminal that we are so sadly served by the BBC.
Honourable mentions, of course are due to the various local and national (TWO WHOLE HOURS!)country programmes on the Beeb. C'mon you lot in suits - waken up and give us what WE want to listen to. You cater for many minority interests with entire networks, why not a country music (of all kinds ) station.
I'll put my name forward (for a large wodge of dosh) as programme director. Go on THINK about it!
richard .Devon
I minimise the radio player and listen as I carry out my various tasks on my PC.
Great company. Love it!!
Peter from London
I still listen to analogue as the digital services aren't of the same quality. If the DAB was a higher bit rate then I'd go for that.
bill southport
I listen in my truck which at this moment in time are not fitted with digital radio but i am sure they will be in time
Peter P, Dor - São Paulo - Brazil
Saturdays in the afternoon and most every Sunday when there is no pulse charge on the phone line I listen to Radio 2 over my computer
through a dial-up connection. It´s quite an improvement over my decades of shortwave listening but maybe I would return to digital shortwave when it becomes available.
Peter / Banbury
I usually listen to the radio and sometimes on the TV - but now I've found you on my computer will listen again while I work. Interesting to see that there is an even greater delay between Digital (via the PC)and Analogue radio than there is between Digital and Analogue TV
Lesley Houston, Texas, USA
Another expat who listens via the Internet and the BBC Radio Player. I'm a big fan of the Listen Again feature which lets me choose my favourite programmes in my own timeframe.
My laptop brings the Beeb to my kitchen table every morning in Houston while I drink my coffee and check my mail. Thank you BBC - you're the best!
Richard, Jersey
I listen on good old FM Radio, I'd love to listen on digital - however there is STILL no digital service in Jersey. Is it on the horizon? Near or distant. Keep up the good stuff on Radio 2, we listen at work all day from Wogan to Walker.
Gary Winten, Dubai
Being 8000 miles away from London theres really only one way; per Internet!
Bev, Fareham Hants
I listen on my computer at work every day. I have an office all to myself so I can have it up as loud as I like. I quite often lose the connection in the afternoon but I don't know why. Then I have to resort to the trusty tranny. Not such good quality but better than nothing. Thanks BBC.
Anthony from Lakeland, Florida, USA
I started listening last week, as Hurricane Frances was bearing down on Polk County, Florida. I was alone at my workplace, in a large, modern building that was very safe, if there was a safe place. I discovered the BBC's wealth of listening choices while surfing the Web. It did a lot to take my mind off the rattling windows and howling outside. Thank you for being there.
Stuart, Trondheim
I listen online. Norwegian radios are rubbish, they only pick up foreign stations. Tried taking them back to the shop, but they were no help at all. Even the one in the car is the same, and the car is French! It's a conspiracy. Saturday nights in this frozen outpost are pretty bleak, until 'Whispering Bob' comes on. Thank the Lord for the BBC.
Grant, Weston, Florida
I am an ex-pat living in South Florida (dodging the hurricanes!) Listening over the web at the weekends brings some excellent media to a culture starved Brit!
Eugene, from Kobe, in Japan
Radio 2 must be the world's top station, I listen on Broadband here,-Wogan and Walker, - what a great pair of idiots to spend some time with.
Andrew, Student, Oxford
I listen on my computer from my room in college, which has broadband internet access. I really appreciate the "Listen Again" function, as I always miss the programs I want to hear. Plus, it makes it easier to listen to the funniest parts of the News Quiz again!
David, Paris
I use the internet and generally have very good reception. It is certainly much better than trying to keep up with you on shortwave as I have done in the past.
Nigel Kat, Hong Kong
Over the Net. Computer at home and in the office. Excellent content and availability - only the sound quality stands between this service and world domination.
Jack; Beijing, China
I listen to the BBC from Beijing, so I usually "wake up to Janice Long".
As an English teacher, I encourage my students to log on to Radio 2 as much as possible.
John from Leeds
Via the radio if traveling to work, but mianly thru Radio Player in an evening and at weekends, especially catching up on shows I have missed.
Mike from Oxfordshire
Analogue mostly but on line too. Not very impressed at the quality of DAB - I prefer the FM sound quality.
Brian Beesley SW France
By computer every day but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no more Jonathan Ross and his stupid babble, and not as a replacement for Wogan
Weng Loong Soo (26) from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
BBC Radio 2 has been my constant companion since 2002. Why? Because I love its great music and good on-air companions! Despite being about 6740 miles away from home, I still find time to listen to it via my laptop. The the crystal clear and stereo reception of the broadcast is excellent and I cannot wait to get a DAB radio when I get back to England. My favourites are Janice Long, Terry Wogan and, of course, Steve Wright. By the way, the new programme hosted by Elaine Paige on Sunday is worth listening to. Keep up the good work, Radio 2.
Brenda Fisher, Wellington, New Zealand
I'm currently living in New Zealand, which has lots of wonderful delights, but does'nt have any really decent radio stations, certainly nothing like Radio 2 or 4. So I manage to listen to Radio 2 whilst sitting in my favourite internet cafe in Wellington, whilst dealing with my E-Mail post. I'll be returning to the UK next year, so will look forward to catching up with all the digital improvements then.
Nick Sydney Australia
Listen live - I didn't think I would miss England so much when I left, but now I can listen to the radio and think of people at home (and the weather/travel reports are great!)
Carol MacGeorge, Brindisi Italy
Via our PC as we live in Italy, we dont have TV or speak much Italian so its our link to the civilised world!!!
Neil - Brussels, Belgium
I listen via satellite. Sounds great when connected to a decent hi-fi. Only problem is I only have access when at home so I miss out during the day when I am at work. Listening on-line is not allowed in the office.
Robert Fox Glasgow
i listen mostly when i am in my truck as i seem to spend most of my life in there but when im not in it i normally listen when i am doodling on the p.c great listening something for everyone no matter what age group your in.
Trisha Sanders, Wallingford,Oxfordshire
I work in an open plan office and there are 6 of us, ranging in ages from 23 to 58, the latter being me and I have the radio on my desk. Radio 2 is on all day and staff that visit say it is the coolest office in the building with everyone enjoying Terry's banter and continuing with Ken. Keep up the good work.
Trish Sanders
Liam Murphy, Nottingham
I listen via the internet on my desk at work. The quality is very good, however there is a tendancy for the connection to cut out, some days on a regular basis which is very off putting..
John Eccles in Wigan
I usually fall asleep with an earpiece in and doze in and out of Janice Long and Alex Lester (best presenter you have)/Mo Dutta. I then do 'penance' by listening to a bit of Sarah Kennedy and Terry Wogan (is he not dead yet?) before taking myself off to work and listening via PC to Ken Bruce. At lunchtime I switch to Radio 7 for an hour's comedy. The afternoon is a switch to Radio 6 I'm afraid (decent music - little drivel). I'm afraid I can't stand Sreve Wright! (crap show Steve...).
Piers - Leamington Spa
I listen via my digital TV tuner, radio and on line using my computer. The computer is particularly useful for listening to missed shows such as Paul Jones.
Mark, Chester
I work from home on monday's and Friday's. I always listen to Jonathan Ross' show from Saturday mornings.
Nora, Florida
I used to listen to BBC2 in my car, Terry Wogan, Jonathon Ross, Johnnie Walker. I really enjoyed them all. I no longer live in England, but I listen via Internet. Due to time differences, I don't get to hear Terry Wogan any more. At least I still get Johnnie Walker. I even miss Sally traffic (just not the actual traffic), although she sounds funny today!
Kathy Cardy, Cotati, Northern California
I moved to California from Northern Ireland 8 years ago, and I have been listening to Radio 2 via the internet for about a year now - it helps me through those homesick days (of which there are many!).
Johnny Walker is brill, even if I do listen to him at breakfast!!!
Can't wait to return home next year to live and listen to Radio 2 at the right time of the day!!
Tony, Nottingham
I listen to BBC Radio 2 when I'm drving my van, from midnight to 8.00am, so I get some great shows. Janice Long, Alex Lester slam my top, Terry Wogan, and Sarah Kennedy
Tim - Arundel
Just listened to Mike Harding again on PC at work as I took a US call during the show last night. I figure that is due to me. Excellent. Also use the digi TV and put it through the HiFi at home if I need LOUD.
Great opportunity to listen again or if you missed an important item.
Nigel Lloyd, Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire.
When I'm at work I listen on my Nokia phone so it's a personal thing with Terry, Ken, Jeremy and Steve. Then I listen on my car radio on the way home (singing slong of course) and when I get home I either listen on my DAB radio or on freeview.
Karen Aylesbury
I listen via the computer while doing repetitive tasks at work - things like envelope stuffing and stapling!
the quality is not great - especially the spoken words - is this because my speakers are very basic?
I have a DAB radio at home now - only £49 from Curry's and I love it!
Lou Fletcher, Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
I have just moved to the USA (Virginia) and log on every morning - Jeremy Vine and Steve Wright keep me sane each day! I find listening to Radio 2 is a complete life saver and it is brilliant to be able to listen to (recorded) Terry Wogan whenever I choose! ... Never thought I would be so homesick for the UK but listening to the BBC really helps. Thank you BBC!
rachel, south west
I listen via my pc at work. As i often work alone it like having a friend around, especially Steve Wright!!. Although i have to admit that i love Ken Bruces pop master quiz and Jeremy Vines Debates.
Eileen, Chester
I work from home and listen to the radio via the computer. Steve Wright in the afternoon and then Terry late at night when the kids are in bed. As I work alone it keeps me company through the day, I think of you as my colleagues - many thanks
p.s. When can't we "listen again" to Steve Wright?
David Griffiths, Pamplona, Spain
On the Internet while hammering out translations on my computer in my office at home, especially Ken Bruce.
Jonathan Wells, Washington
At my desk (I work from home) it's on the live internet feed which means I can stop Jonny Walker when I get a phone call then start him again afterwards. Brilliant.
In the car its on a DAB unit. I also have a standalone DAB in my office at home.
Big fan of Digital Radio!
Pippa in Dorset UK
On my PC and in my car but WHAT HAVE YOU DONE to Saturday afternoons and early evenings. Used to be the best programming to make my long journey home (via my old mum's place) from OU tutorials but not any more!
Barbara (Liverpool)
On my PC at work - wonderful invention this internet radio. Only problem is that during the pop quiz, I tend to answer the questions out loud...
Angela, Dublin
I listen through my pc on the internet, now we have broadband I don't have to feel guilty about it. Its like piping a bit of home into my house, if only I could get decent fish and chips in the same way!
Bryan, New York City
I'm ex-pat, and I listen via my computer, at work in New York City. I work in a library, so it's on quietly, but I tend to give myself away laughing to Mark Radcliffe, various old Round the Hornes (my dad introduced me to them), and the little snippet of Mark & Lard's last show, which made me realise how much I'd missed the joys of BBC radio. It's almost enough to want to move back...
Dave, Banbury
I have a radio card for my PC and a scheduled recording application, so I stream all of my favourite shows (Bob Harris, Mark Lamarr, etc) to mp3 so I can listen when I need to. I use Listen Again occasionally, but I'm often away for more than two weeks at a time so don't want to miss any. I work from home so have a constant supply of great radio music when I need it
Ian Brighouse
I use my PC until Digital Radio becomes priced fairly anyway.
I dont have a TV.
Amanda Fairclough. Marigot; St Martin. French West
I listen online via my laptop. Love it. Was missing home but you keep me in touch and keep the homesickness at bay. Many thanks.
Nick San Diego
I listen over the net as its the only way to get any real sanity over here........ well mentions of snorkers and togs and great music anyway
Erica, Frome
At work its via my pc. At home via the TV or my DAB radio, depending which bit of the house I'm in. Being able use the 'Listen Again' service is the best thing since sliced bread!
Kingston, Surrey
I love radio ..... always have. I started in the early sixties with Radio Caroline and London, but the BBC was always listened to at sometime in the week, usually comedies like 'I'm sorry I'll Read That Again'. Now that I am fully digital AND on-line I can listen to those crisp old comedy shows again, and still satisfy my appetite for great music by listening to Mark Radcliffe, Stuart Maconnie and all the terrific 6 MUSIC shows, as and when I choose. I still love radio .... always will.
Simon - Liverpool
I listen on my Mac when I am working from home, it stops the silence driving me mad, and I get better reception than from the old Radio Alarm in the bedroom!
Moishe from Surrey
Via the internet RealOne Player. Sometimes the sound cutsout and when it comes back, it sounds like it is coming from the inside of a tin can.
Sally Donald-Deacon, Derby/East Midlands
I listen in the car and on the computer
Rosie, Nuneaton
It's great to listen on the internet while I'm working, my bosses don't even mind. I just have headphones plugged into my computer and no one else has hear my music choice.
I like to use the standalone player rather than go to the web-site each time and so I have it set as a faviorite in RealPlayer.
I would listen more often if Radio 2 was avalable in Windows Media Player (like 6 Music already is) as I prefer that player for listening to CD's which I also do at my desk.
Dave Botha - Kingsbridge
On my PC at work ... Steve Wright allows me to keep my sense of humour while the Vine allows me to maintain my sense of reality
Andrew Casey Edinburgh
I work in an office that for some reason wont allow a radio so i listen online with earphones.
Fi Exon, Cumbria
I work in publishing and have an office all to myself - gets a bit quiet. SO, I listen all day to the Radio. Its like when I was a kid - doing my homework with music on all the time. My day is measured by the sequence of programmes!
I often make use of the Play Again facility too. Especially for stuff I miss in an evening.
Sarah, Sydney Australia
I listen via the internet at home, but miss Steve Wright as he's on in the middle of the night! But we can catch him on a Sunday evening ;-) with the love songs.
Like to catch up with Sarah Kennedy and Terry Wogan - I'm listening to him live now... and it's coming up for 5pm here.
Radio here is not comparable... stations have too many ads and about 10 songs on the playlist - so it gets boring very quickly.
I miss Radio 2!
brian M Murray Edinburgh
I appreciate the radio player very much as I can catch up with missed progs on the PC at the weekend.
I also enjoy listening to radio via Freview whilst relaxing in the evenings... better quality than DAB radio !!
Peter Gompertz in Melbourne, Australia
I have been listening to Radio 2 since I returned to England (from Australia) in 1969. I am now back in Melbourne, Australia and am still listening via broadband internet ( right now I am listening to Michael Parkinson ). it is 11.30 on a spring morning and I am in shorts. At 4.30 our time I will be listening to the incomparable Terry Wogan and Ken Bruce. At other times I listen to Stewpot, Nick Barraclough, Bob Harris and Sarah Kennedy, Desmond Carrington and Russell Davies - along with Jimmy Young all quality broadcasters.
I do not listen to the new lot, especially not Jeremy Vine, Johnny Walker, Jonathon Ross or the sub standard Steve Wright.
Iain Henshaw Bentham North Yorkshire
I listen through freeview and have a list programmed with all the BBC channels, no adverts - pure bliss and no pestering at Christmas.....
Gemma, Kent
Being able to listen to BBC radio stations via the internet was great when I was away travelling for 7 months. Whenever I stopped in at an internet cafe I'd plug my earphones in and listen to the live radio stream. You have no idea how much I missed British radio! It's good to be back.
Richard Newell, Auckland, New Zealand
I listen to the jazz and the likes of Bob Harris while sitting in my home office 12,000 miles from the source. BBC Radio has always been light years ahead of anything else.
Graham, Orpington, Kent
These days I listen almost entirely online, either live or via Listen Again, so I never miss my programmes and can hear them over when they're particularly good.
I've always loved the 'wireless' ever since I was a kid, (it's brilliant to hear Round The Horne again), and today's innovations take it into another dimension.
Tim Scott/Huddersfield
I listen on both the Radio [in my car and the kitchen at home] and on my PC at work [sometimes]. Terry and Johnnie are probably my favourites [for the dialogue], but I think Steve Wright probably plays the better music.
Pauline Crawford / Lanaken, Belgium
I'm a Scot living in Belgium. I listen to Radio 2 on the internet in the office everyday. Lovely radio 2 music and it's wonderful presenters have supported me through homesickness and continue to light my life. I even get to talk to them in English as if they could actually hear!! Terry has gifted me with laughter when my sense of humour went AWOL. The listen again facility means he and others are never far away even if I am! Love ya all!
Richard, Puerto Rico Caribbean
Now that we finaly have DSL here I can listen to nonstop streaming interuption free, instead of dialup which was like listening to the old shortwave radio Luxemburgh. Also being a computer engineer I get to listen all day while I am working. Being an Expat it keeps me in touch with things back home.
Best internet device ever invented.
Ian V , Fareham
I listen predominently on the web . I work from home on the computer all day and Radio 2 manages to keep me sane ... Favourite is Bob Harris ,a and now we get even more thanks to the Friday show ...
The car radio and the TVs are also tuned for Radio 2 .
Keep up the good work ..
Gregg in Madrid
Via the internet and my laptop in bed. I'm flat on my back recovering from surgery, and am very grateful to BBC radio for keeping me from going crazy.
Adrian, Reading, UK
Analogue Tuner, PC with Real Player, Freeview box. The internet is fantastic as i can listen to it anytime. But it is irritating that I need to use Real Player to access via the internet. I have a Pinnacle Showstation & I want to listen to Radio 2 via that but in order to do so you need to broadcast in "Shoutcast" MP3 internet radio format.
Martin in Maastricht, Netherlands (nee Newcastle-u
Student life is great...especially with a huge dose of Radio 2 each day. When I was in the UK the radio was the first thing I would reach for...but I'm abroad for a year and so now I'm hooked up through the internet! Fab!
Josie from Cambridge
On my PC when working from home. It's a great way to listen to broadcasts from earlier in the day or even days ago! Now I never worry about missing programmes.
Rob Zaple. Devon.
On My computer at work. Especially Terry Wogan & mark Radcliffe. I appreciate-
The opportunity to listen to shows I would otherwise miss,
The ability to Pause when required.
The ability to FF 5 mins when Pause for Thought comes on.
The ability to replay favourite moments eg the start of Mark R on wednesday 1 Sep 04.
Well done BBC
Roger, Almancil, Algarve, Portugal
I'm a freelance graphic designer working in the Algarve, Portugal for 4 years now. I run a Mac - of course! - and listen on that, with wonderful quality. Terry, Ken, Jeremy and Johnny are the faves but the listen again facility is also put to good use.
You cannot imagine the incredible smugness induced by the traffic reports - to think I used to be part of the problem! Now I'm part of the solution. Wild horses would not bring me or Christine back to all that.
Best wishes to the best radio station in world!
Poly, Bristol
All day at work, via my PC. It stops me going too mad!
Rod, Argentina
I listen to this radio on the Internet, simply beacause I dont have such a powerful radio receiver!! The Radio is great keep on with the good work!
Julie Saudi Arabia
I listen via the internet in Saudi Arabia makes life seem more normal with Steve Wright in the evenings I also use the Listen Again for Sunday Love Songs & Terry Wogan. Love to hear the Sally Traffic & weather reports cheers me up after a hard slog by the pool in the sunshine, there has to be some compensations being out here.
Jonathan Poulton
After recovering from a bad car accident I listen athome through computer - and wirless network so when sat outsuide in sunshie radio 2 all the way!
Bonn, Germany
I love listening to the BBC whilst at work!
Since January 2002 I have speakers for the office PC It's changed my whole working life, listen to the Band and Friday night is Music night are a MUST to cope with a Monday morning !!
At home I listen via satellite !
Thanks BBC you're (still) great !!!!
Adrian - Cheshire
DAB digital radio at home but being in the backwaters signal not always so good. At work via the website player. The ability to replay previous programmes is a top idea.
Tom Clifford, Bath
I listen via my lap-top at my desk. I find the 'easy listening' helps me work.
Jens Bagge, Karlshamn, Sweden
I listen daily to BBC Radio 2 by means of my digital satellite receiver, which I have connected to my stereo.
Sometimes when I am away I record my favourite shows (Sound of the sixties, America’s Greatest Hits) on my video tape recorder and then transform it to casette tape and listen to it in my car.
Unfortunately I can only listen to Radio 2. The other stations are impossible to tune in to in Scandinavia. Is this some special policy.? All the commercial stations lige Heart, Capital Radio, Capital Gold and Planet Rock are possible to tune in to on the satellite.
I love Radio 2, since you are serious about the music you play. The music is in the driver’s seat and not played to fill out the time or to be in the background. That is not the case with other radio stations, eespecially not in Sweden.
The music documentarys are also great. Like the series 7 days that roicked the world. Fantastic. Or the two hour program of ABBA.
John Samuelson/Colorado Springs, Colorado
Webcasting is truly a miracle of technology. I'll admit to being hooked on Radio 2 but when we moved back to the States in 1980 I was stuck with cassette recordings of Terry Wogan and Jean Challis (Family Favorites) that I'd made from 1975 to 1980 while stationed at RAF Mildenhall. I now listen to Radio 2 everyday. When I get to work in the morning in Denver (Mountain Time Zone-7 hours behind London) Steve Wright is on live. After that it's Johnny Walker. Then in the afternoon I listen to Terry Wogan using the Play it Again feature to finish my day. I get by "Brit Fix" whenever I need it. So cheers and thanks to the BBC.
Alan in Portland, OR USA
I listen to the BBC on my computer at home all the time. (They would not let me listen at work at my last job. I work from home now.) Since American radio is flavorless pap, BBC is a breath of fresh air. I usually listen to 6Music or BBC7. (Especially for ISIRTA.) It is like having a giant multi-station college radio station with a budget and taste available at all times without commercials. Best radio in the world!
Peter Greenwood Geneva
i listen on a macintosh computer , which poses the problem that when listening to previous programmes i can't "fast forward", which is an option when listening on a PC. This would especially useful when, for example, having listened to 2h40min of the magic of motown, the serveur loses connection and you want just to listen to the last 20 mins and not start abgain from scratch! Can you resolve this as mac users like BBC radio too...
Graeme Holman, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
As an expat, by Computer - THANK YOU!
David Kemp, Cape Town, South Africa.
I listen, usually on Sundays, on my PC. Week-ends our Internet charges are pegged at Rand 7 Friday p.m. through to Monday a.m., otherwise the cost is too high without an ADSL line. An especial favourite was Desmond Carrington's 2 hour show, and I miss it in this time slot. Much as I admire Elaine Paige, endless musical music is just too much for me!
Tont Marshall. St Louis Missouri USA
over the internet. Great way to hear whats going on in the uk. I have been in the States 16 yr's, just love this little piece of "home"
Gavin (Hull)
After buying a digi box for our TV, it tooks us a few weeks to realise that we could get Radio 2 on it.... and it's great!!
We got rid of our radio (which was on its way out anyway) and we've never looked back!
Mamzaragoza, from Zaragoza, Spain
At home or at the office, always from the net, as it is the only way to get any BBC radio here, unless you get a big dish and have it oriented to Astra 28,2.
I also follow 6 Music and some other shows on Radio 3 & 4.
Cheers.
Carole Ann Biggin Hill Kent
I listen online I am working on other tasks. Its is even better now as I don't miss any programs that go out, when I am out at work. Fantastic BBC.
Gavin P from Ipswich
In the morning I use a portable stereo system, then in the kitchen a midi-system, but I also have Radio2 via NTL cable TV - however, you can't have them on at the same time due to the time delay! (Same goes for when listening via my pc - you can't have the radio on also because they are not in sync).
Woody in Kenilworth
On PC while doing work. Great to catch up with shows I have missed through putting kids to bed etc...
Allan Matthes Woodstock, IL USA
I listen on the Internet in Woodstock, Il USA. I am an avid Desmond Carrington fan and can't get enough of David Jacobs also. I really appreciated your D-Day broadcasts on Radio 4 and the other interesting shows on Radio 4. I have recently discovered Stage and Screen on Radio 3 and loved the replay of Angela Lansbury's interview. Although I am a home-grown American I agree with the other listeners that BBC radio sets the standard for Variety, Quality and Broadcasting Excellence on the Internet. Thanks for your Play It Again replay method. It brings you "live" when we are most alive and ready to receive you each week! Keep up the good work and good music and features!
Graham , Rochdale and Paris
I work in UK 3 days a month, Sweden 2 Days and Paris the rest. When in the UK I listen to Terry in the morning on my way over the M62 from Rochdale to Bradford, then back at night with Johnny Walker. If I am flying early I get to listen with the other dawn patrollers. I sometimes listen via WIFI in my hotel in Paris in the evenings on my laptop and at weekends at home I catch up with replays on my PC of the Folk and Blues Scene with Paul Jones, Nick Barraclough, Mike Harding.
Keep up with the exploitation of the Technology!
Bob Torn. Pontypridd.
I listen via the internet and through sattelite TV due to a poor analogue signal in my area, the Welsh valleys.
Tony Court. Norfolk
I'm normally unable to listen to my favourite shows when they are actually broadcast. Its is fantastic that I can listen to them up to a week after they are broadcast using the BBC Radioplayer online.
Its now Saturday afternoon with nothing to do but listen to Mike Harding! Great!! :-)
Rahul Bali, Birmingham
I usually listen alone when I am at home. I listen to the variety programmes in the evening, my favourite is the folk music show. The great programmes have opened my eyes to a wide range of music. The shows are informative and full of great music.
Graham Welford, Glasgow
Hi I listen to Radio 2 first thing on a a morning using my freeview box in my bedroom. Then downstairs I use either ntl cable (living room) or my dab set (the evoke 1) in the kitchen. I connect my dab walkman set to the radio cassete player in my car to listen whilst driving to work. At home during the evening I may listen on the pc while working on the computer. Last thing at night, if I cannot sleep I will listen in bed using my dab walkman.
Jacky in Goreme, Turkey
on my pc whilst working/living in my bed & breakfast hotel in Turkey. So good to keep in touch with news and life in UK, travel news always cheers me up!
Allan from Norwich
I only use traditional radio sets in the kitchen and the truck at work. I've recently bought a 'BUG' DAB receiver. It's good, but could be better!
Ann, Algarve, Portugal
How sad is this ... moved to a lovely sunny country with such a laid back pace of life but just could not settle without my 'fix' of Radio 2 especially Steve Wright Sunday Love Songs! So connected to ADSL Broadband, got myself a good sound system set up to my computer and now wonderful Sunday mornings can happen whenever I like - morning, noon and night. Although I could get Radio 2 on satellite I only use the t.v. for moving programmes not just a blue screen! Many thanks to the good old Beeb!!
Conrad, from Manama, Bahrain
Being two hours ahead of the UK is a great advantage when listening to Radio 2 over the Internet. I always loved the Steve Wright and now when everyone leaves the office at 6:00pm, I can tune in for the last hour of the show. Drive time is great and it's marvellous to hear Johnnie Walker. We don't work Saturday's but being able to listen to Jonathan Ross on a Sunday evening is superb.
Ivan, NW2
On my rusty PC, but I like it.
John Dickey Sedalia, Missouri USA
You sound great! I listen each day at work on my computer. It's (almost) as good as listening to Radio 2 there in country:) Keep up the great work.
Amar Dhaliwal, Vancouver, Canada
Over the internet. One of our family's favourite delights is to tune into Jonathan Ross at 9.00am on a Saturday morning Vancouver time. It's almost as good as hearing it live (despite the 8 hour time difference) and reminds us of being in London.
Lin Hines.Doncaster
Lindy from Yorkshire .
I just love Radio 2 ,be it from my home radio ,which is on all day ,or out in the car ,now online I can catch up on any programmes that I have missed .When my family grew up and left home I could not handle the quiet, then I found Radio 2 .Its BRILLIANT.
David Rose Tunbridge Wells
I listen on the computer at work as a night Security Officer, in between watching bouts of TV and doing hourly patrols.
Penny Bristol
on my computer - I've just bought some wireless speakers for the kitchen so that I can listen there too....
Graeme, Liverpool
In the kitchen on DAB
In the living and dining room on my iMac
In the car on FM Radio
In the bedroom on DAB
In work on my Ipod with adaptor
Digital is the best!!!
Jane, Canada
Terry's dulcit tones grace the airwaves via my computer, at home here in Canada...so do Sarah's if I can stay up late enough to listen to her live...
By the way, why doesn't Sarah Kennedy's show have a 'play later' feature? Then I wouldn't have to stay up so late!
The BBC's radio player is a great service though, I enjoy being able to keep up with Terry and the gang from this side of the pond!
Luke W - Stilton, Peterborough
When working from home i listen on The P.C thankfully upgraded to broadband so i can now work listening to the progams when i want which is great. Plus there is always the sanctury of the car when travelling.
Dave from Middlesbrough
I work from home using computers and have adopted the radio player as my office source of entertainment.
The number of 'drop outs' from the player can be annoying some days though.
Still it is still a new technology and is probably excusable.
Peter Duneclift, Epsom, Surrey
On my computer when working on any admin. in my home office.
Also on my radio in the kitchen.diner when working or eating.
Bob, Herts, UK
If I can, via (free to air) satellite, otherwise on FM, even though we are in a very poor FM reception area. The quality on DAB is so dire (even with a strong signal from a loft aerial) that I am trying to sell my (very expensive) DAB tuner and will wait until the BBC increases its bit-rates before trying again. Listen Again is excellent - especially the R4 science archive.
Debra from Birmingham
I work in an office with 3 other ladies. We listen to Radio 2 via the internet at work everyday. I also listen via my mobile phone with earphones.
Julie Gowland - Sheffield
Via my computer at work - makes the day much more enjoyable!

on my radio alarm clock or PC i never miss sounds of the 60's
Eva, Helsinki
On my computer. The only bad part is the time difference - can't get used to Sarah Kennedy at lunchtime!
Jon, Barcelona, Spain.
I listen to Radio 2 from my pc at work in Barcelona. However I dont know if its my computer but sometimes when I do some work that is a bit arduous with my Pc it cuts the radio out, naughty pc it is.
Andy - Seaford
I work from home, so it's easy to listen via my pc. I also make use of the "Listen Again" facility, it's great.
blissphil / nottingham
on my digital radio overnight (plugged straight into my ears) and computer/internet during the day - you're never alone with a dab!
Thanks beeb for the best including the digital stations like FiveLive and 7.
bob from stoke on trent
VHF FM broadcasts - on the stereo in the living room in company.... and enjoy it all.
David Lloyd - London SE18
We have a DAB Digital radio in the kitchen - which is the centre of our household - and it is always tuned into Radio 2. If we change it, the new station is BBC 7 or Oneword. We like to listen to 'stories'.
Hope this is helpful.
Carolyn, Pasadena, California
On my computer in the office in Pasadena, California. US radio is dreadful and it's great to hear the familiar voices.... Wogan, David Jacobs, Desmond Carrington (yikes, you've moved him!). Any chance of getting Sarah Kennedy and Ken Bruce on the internet??
Lesley from Warrington
On my computer in the evening, Terry goes down a treat after an evening meal! Thank goodness for the ability to listen to your favourites at a time that suits you
Martin, Bermuda
Its brilliant to get the BBC over the internet. As an ex-UK citizen, I miss the 'beeb' very much, so it's a great way to 'stay in touch' and experience the best radio in the world.
Southampton
I know it's naughty but I use the Listen Again facility at work for Radio 2 and 4 (especially Start the Week and the comedy programmes) and pipe the sound output onto a Walkman sized tape recorder. I can then play it back whilst I am doing my workout at the Health Club.
Graham, Surrey
on my PC.....at work sshhhhh

I try and listen when on the computer, notwithstanding the time difference in NZ.
We were recently in the UK for travel and visiting relatives.
During some of that we were grading potatoes at a company in Kent. I listened extensively during those 10 days.
Sarah is my favourite, with Terry & Paulie a close second.

Gayle, Nottingham
I listen to Radio 2 on the internet whilst in work, through the ntl digital box in the evenings and through my fm radio alarm clock in the morning and then in the car on the way to work.
Kris, London
I listen on my computer at work. My job is so boring, but they let you listen to music, so I tune in on the internet. I also listen on my ON Digital box which now has some use.

Kent Evenden TENTERDEN South East England
I usually listen to radio 2 whilst driving in the car.

Its great to have it on whilst working.

I listen via my laptop in the office. Its great, quality entertainment and no adverts!! Now I can satisfy my "Archers" habit as well as getting my daily dose of cynicism from Wogan.
Thanks very much BBC - a bit of dear ol blighty so many miles away!
Christchurch, New Zealand
I listen to live shows and prerecorded shows from the BBC using the internet here in New Zealand as I really miss the high quality programmes I was used to listening to in the UK . I listen to Terry Wogan while I'm preparing and eating my supper!

Riggers in Shanghai
I live in China and listen to the Jonathon Ross show each week. The only music you can get out here is the bloody Carpenters and Celine Dion, so I find I can keep abreast of the latest music scene and UK news from listening to this show.

Paul Feldhahn, Altrincham UK
'Listen Again' is immenseley useful and important feature. Seven days is sometimes too short a time, because I can be away and can't always get accesss to a computer. I am listening to the The 100 Club on my notebook via broadband whilst typing this note at home. I've used the Listen Again feature many times, most memorably for the Beatles Around The World documentary last year, also Stuart Maconies Northern Soul 'All Singing All Dancing' programmes. I also have the 'Psion Wavefinder' DAB receiver for the computer that unfortunately, has poor reception. I would be very interested in a better receiver for the computer, so that I can archive programmes in order to listen again at a more convenient time. The BBC are doing a fantastic job in archiving programmes which I understand is being further developed, to include TV programmes. God Bless the BBC. Paul
Jan C in Bonn from Hamburg
I listened to Radio 4 on my alarm clock and to Radio 2 and BBC7 over the internet when being in Bath. Back in "europe" (I still don't get why you wish to distance yourself from the other 450 million europeans.) I love and use your streaming service for all of the stations and I am looking forward for the HHGuideTTG on Radio 2.
Thanks.
Robin Morton Central Scotland
I Listen Via a Modular PCI DAB card installed in my PC. This is great because with One click I can record a show and listen to it later.
Plymouth
Hi I listen to all the BBC stations via the DAB transmitter in Plympton, Plymouth. I am slightly disappointed with the sound quality due to the low 128kbps bit rate. Any chance of improving this if the bbc get another multiplex?
Whilst I am at home I use FREEVIEW to listen to thew BBC stations. This has an improved sound quality over DAB
Gail - Derby
I listen on the internet in my workplace. Listening for the 30 mins before I finish work allows me to listen to Sally traffic. Sally's advice is invaluable in deciding what time and which way and travel home from West Birmingham to East Derby
Sharon, Birmingham
I listen all over the house! I have a radio in every room. I also listen via Sky on the TV as well as online, via the radio player.
I love being able to listen again to shows that i've particularly enjoyed, or that i missed for some reason. The variety of music available on 2 is wonderful!! Keep up the good work!
Gail, Toronto, Canada
I listen on the internet as it's the only way we can get it over here. It is very popular with other expats also. When I was very homesick I used to tune in and it made "home" seem a lot closer. Keep up the good work
Stuart Clarkson, Machelen, Belgium

Sepp Ronay , Naples Florida
Over the internet
How else could one learn of traffic jams on the M25 in the early hours of the morning as the rain pours down, or that train services are interrupted due to frozen points whilst one is rocking on the outside porch, sipping a frozen margarita, being cooled by balmy breezes, and gazing with awe at the spendor of the twinkling Milky Way in the nightime sky. Oh The Good Life.
Robert Fonville, Simpsonville South Carolina USA
I listen to Radio 2 while at work for just a bit. Also listen at home when working/playing
on my PC.
It's so enjoyable. There is the most wonderful variety of programing.

Mick, Kilsyth
I use the Listen again feature on my Mac Powerbook, I like the Critical List, and also Freak Zone on Radio 6. Lets you hear stuff you didnt know existed.
Joseph, 21, Hereford
I listen via DAB most of the day. I also listen via Freeview until Mum & Dad get home, and then switch to BBC ONE at 6pm. My car stereo is still FM though, so its a bit unreliable. I am desperately trying to get Mum & Dad to change all the radios in the house to DAB!
Dave Gingell - Devizes
There is no doubting the convenience of listening 'on line' especially with broadband, and the extra stations through the digital box are a bonus but the quality at present is no where near as good as can be achieved with a quality FM tuner (BBC please take note). I have not heard radio from a DAB receiver yet - which I understand is good but not consistent because the BBC keeps reducing the bit rate to cram more stations in! Digital radio is OK but not yet ready to replace good old analogue
Robert, Chicago, USA
I listen to Bob Harris' fine Saturday show on the 'net. I look forward to exploring more of the great programming.
John Harvey. Llanfair Caereinion, Mid Wales
I usually listen via the Internet, because the FM reception in Wales is so poor. Unfortunately, it ties up my phone line as I can't get broadband either!!
I particularly enjoy listening to the afternoon play in the evening when I get home!
A.van Elburg-ter Horst from the Netherlands
I listen in my studio when I'm painting , from 8.30 a.m till twelve or in the evening from 7 pm till approximite 10 . And I like most of all the chat of mister Wogan and his companions. In this part of Holland you can only listen to radio 2 on computer. Radio 2 is since years my favorite station.

I work in an office on my own with a very fast internet connection, I listen to radio 2 via the "Listen live" link from the BBC website. I listen all day from 8:30am to 5:00pm and its great.
Greg - Brimingham
I use a tv/radio card to listen to stereo through my computers surround sound speakers. So I suppose I am still using traditional FM, but the sound quality through surround sound speakers is a lot lot better than streaming media.
Orla, and Gary, Sheffield
We listen to BBC Radio (4,2 and 6) on DAB digital radio at home as well as sometimes listening to 6music and Radio 2 at work on computer. Marks Radcliffe and Lamarr are wonderful and 6music is a constant delight! Since buying a digital radio, we haven't even had time to listen to our CDs...
Ali, Northampton
radio 2 on my computer at work is my savior! i love listening to music documentaries and late night shows like Mark Radcliffe or Mark Lamarr that i have missed. they make my dull work day fly by!
Anthony from Smalley, Derbyshire
At home on Freeview or online and in the car on FM.
The Radio Player is fantastic - wish they'd do it with TV!
John, Katwijk, The Netherlands
Due to constraints of family and shift working I very rarely get the chance to listen live, taping all my favourite programmes ( SOTS, Drivetime, Rockin' with Suzi Q etc. ) for listening to in the car or at work. The 'Listen Again' facility on the PC has proved an absolute boon for the programmes I missed. Just a pity I can't listen via the Radio Player at work, the rotters have firewalled it !
Russ Fitton. Castleford, West Yorkshire
We listen to Radio 2 on Sky channel 852 in surround sound. I would use the radioplayer on my laptop but without broadband availability its a no no for the moment.
Jan Willem from Alkmaar, Netherlands
I listen to Radio 2 during most evenings and Sundays at home and thanks to the real player option I can now enjoy Terry Wogan at work.

We use the listen again feature for Jonathon Ross and listen live to Sarah Kennedy & Terry Wogan when we are having our dinner all via the broadband connection on our PC. Great for poms living abroad and missing good radio
Gary Buczma, Hamilton, New Zealand
I recently emigrated from the UK. One thing I really missed was Radio 2 - Wogan, Jeremy Vine, Steve Wright, Jonathan Ross. Now I can listen (with the exception of Steve Wright) on the internet whilst at work.
Roll on Digital BBC TV - Question time - ahh what luxury.
Keith Lagden, Sacramento, Ca USA
I love listen to the Wogan berry on my laptop, great that I can pick the time to listen
Antti from San Francisco Bay Area
Hi guys,
I'm a Finn who used to live in England for a number of years and grew to love BBC radio Two and Four enourmously. Since moving to San Francisco Bay Area I listen to your programmes daily via my computer. it is simply the best quality entertainment around then as well as nowadays:)
Lisa, Harrogate
I listen to all the great Radio Two shows using the BBC Radio Player. It's good to catch up on the shows I have missed due to work! Also good if there is a favourite song or artist you want to hear again - it's so good I am now using the computer more than my boyfriend! Thank you!
Beatriz Rivas from Pisa (Italy)
Hi!
We listen to Jeremy Vine on BBC2 daily on our lunch "break" at home. We recenlty moved to Italy from Ireland and we are both freelancers so it is a great way to keep in the loop with news and music while at home. Keep up the brilliant work! And yes, I think Johnathan Ross is even wittier on radio than on TV!
Gary Libertyville, Illinois
I've been listening via the internet for several years. Teaching in Illinois, I end up listening to Janet Long and Alex Lester while I do school related work in the evening.
Ian Connolly, Stamford Lincs
I like to listen to Jonathan Ross on a Saturday but am rarely around for the full three hours. with the on line option I can listen to the show at any time during the week through my pc
Peter Brown - Rossendale
I listen in 3 ways. The old analogue way in the car and bedrom, via DAB in the kitchen and via Sky in the lounge. I use the internet to view the playlists. In my area DAB is stil hit or miss for the "Beeb". With Sky I use the video to record the programmes I cannot listen to live.
Chris Hendon. Athens.Greece
I listen on my laptop at work.....keeps me in touch with what's going on in the UK...
Connie from Edinburgh
I listen to Terry in the morning via my tele and my boyfriend and I laugh along with the gang for an hour. And then I listen for the rest of the day via the internet in my office. I really love being able to listen to past shows, like the Nora Jones Live Concert and the Billy Connelly interview, after the event coz I've missed it. It's absolutely brilliant. And don't forget Jonathan Ross on a Sat morning/Steve Wright Sunday Love Songs on my radio alarm clock, with breakfast in bed. Life is a peach sometimes.
Sholan, Hong Kong
I listen via the internet at home in Hong Kong! The 'listen again' features are very handy for me with the time difference - Jonothan Ross and Terry Wogan are my favourites!
Andrew Vear. Las Vegas andrewvear@aol.com
Im listening in sunny Las Vegas!! Then I push the sound through my 900 mhz wireless speakers by the pool and a 900mhz reciever for the main home stereo! Drives the wife barmy!!
Thank god for the beeb the radio here and TV for that matter is enough to send an ex-pat over the edge!!
BBC America is ok but for crying out loud enough of the damn home and crap in the attic shows!!
Sue - Oslo, Norway.
I listen to my favourite show - Jeremy Vine online using BBC Radio Player. Perfect for keeping in touch with the UK.
John Hannibal from Cleveland Ohio USA
Via the internet. I have my PC soundcard hooked into my stereo. I then have speakers in most rooms of my house and on my deck either by wire or local radio transmitter. This way I can listen to Bob Harris on my deck or hammock and Jonathan Ross and Pick Of The Pops while cleaning the house. You guys are the best!
Richard - Prague, Czech Republic
I listen to BBC on the internet -mailnly whilst at work. My two favourites are BBC World Service, and our many programmes from the archives. I am British, though now living abroad, and really miss BBC. This service really keeps me in touch, and I greatly value it.
Peter Armstrong, Hong Kong
On-line. Jonathon Ross on a Saturday is essential listening for me for keeping homesickness at bay - frequently gets played more than once!
Karen, Singapore
I'm a British expatriate in Singapore and I listen via my computer.
Many Thanks. Love it!!!!!
AB from Aberdeen
Normal FM radio is fine. Pretty much all areas can receive Radio 2 on FM perfectly well. It seems to me that the 'Going Digital' campaign is an un-necessary marketing plan to get people to buy digital radios when the vast majority can easily do without
Philip E. Woods, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
I listen over the Internet here in Canada.
My wife and I were born in Guildford, Surrey and grew up listening to the radio
Lisa in Rotterdam/ Netherlands
At the moment I listen via the Net. I used to be able to listen via the cable but the powers-that-be-with-no-brains decided to remove Radio 2 from the standard listening package here in Rotterdam!!!!!
I would love to be able to listen via digital radio though, will this ever be an available here in Holland?
Peter Gregg, Nottingham - Bakersfield area.
Computer. Fantastic facility to play back missed programmes. e.g. I was never able to listen to Big Band Special. Now, wow!!!!
Karen, Guernsey Channel Islands
I listen through my computer at school. Terry helps me set the day right and then we pick and choose other programmes throughout the day for the entertainment and education of the class.
Music has been proven to aid the brain power of children and in our case it has a soothing effect on the whole class.
JB in Seattle, USA
Via PC. Got hooked on Radio 2 while living in the UK for 4 years. Really miss it over here, so the 'listen again' feature is great.
John Davis, ex-pat in Philadelphia, U.S.
After World Service was dropped from the North American transmission I got into the 'net habit and now listen to all BBC broadcasts, domestic and international, this way. The BBC Radio Player is a boon -- regardless of the 5-hour time lag, I can get all my favourites..
Louise, Ipswich Suffolk
I listen via the internet whist on the computer. Its brilliant for hearing shows that I would have otherwise missed. This list should include all programmes!!
Barbara Hughes. Fishguard, Pembrokeshire
I have a radio in every room in my house including the bathroom and I just love Radio 2. When I garden I use my Radio Walkman, one day all of a sudden I lost the sound and soon realised I had cut the wires to my ear phones while trimming a hedge! Had to go out and buy new earphones at once!! Johnny Walker with Sally Boazman are my special favourites. When is Digital coming here?
Malcolm Jones Worcester
I listen to Radio 2 via a new dab Radio (Pure) that i have just purchased and also via the radio player on the internet, especially if I have missed a program I really wanted to here.Reception can be a bit hit and miss around this area, but crystal clear now 24/7 with the dab radio.
Rex, working in Stavanger, Norway.
Like so many others, I listen to BBC Radio 2 on my computer at the office - especially at weekends, when I'm often the only one there.
It's great to be able to listen to my favourite shows when I like, without diturbing any of my workmates.
As others have commented, no other station compares to BBC Radio 2, it's so varied.
Keep up the good work - if only for the sanity of those of us who find ourselves overseas!
Pete from Norfolk
I use the BBC web site all the time, skipping channels for favourite programmes. Its always so clear & easy standard radio in my studio has really bad reception so its great to actully clearly hear everything.
Jim Flanders, Plymouth
My work involves a combination of an hour`s drive to work some days and working from home on others. Radio 2 on the car radio is a life saver, and is also on all day at the office. I very rarely catch programmes at broadcast times during the evening, so when working from home I can catch up with them via the "listen again" service on the radio player.
Jan Huntingford Epsom Downs Surrey
I cannot believe that for years I thought that another radio station was superior to BBC radio I am glad that I have found the right button again. I listen to Terry in the morning on the car radio, people must think I am mad stuck in a traffic jam with the biggest grin on my face, no internet during the day obviously the company knows best and then roll on five o'clock when I can travel home in the company of Johnnie and Sally, must admit that even the stand in's are just as good. It is lovely being able to listen to anything that is missed on the computer mostly at the weekends the sound its brilliant.
Barry Coggan. Radcliffe, Manchester
I have the facilities to listen both on TV and via the web but cannot notice any discernible difference in quality between these and my old trannie; and, anyway, I get time checks and the time signals at the right time on via the old technology!
Brenda Sussex
I listen at home via the internet,I get a much clearer signal, plus I can catch up on any shows I have missed. At work we listen via the radio, not as clear but still sounds good all the same.
Anne, Whitstable, Kent
Terry and the team are my radio/alarm and wake me up in the morning. I listen on the car stereo on the way to work and when I am driving around during the day try Ken's Pop Master, Lynn sorts out my traffic jams, I listen to Jeremy's lunchtime show and try my luck on Steve's Big Quiz. If I have an office day, it is on the radio behind me all day and Johnny and Sally drive me home - he is my favourite and have followed him since the pirate days. In my kitchen I listen o my midi system while cooking dinner and then when I am online line in the evening. Richard used to wind me down before bed - really miss his dulcet tones. Now I put on a CD.
Sometimes when I go for a wander on the beach I listen on my mini radio. The one place I cannot seem to find it is the listen again feature on my computer and have downloaded everything to try it to no avail. Please tell me how this happens?
Dave, Birmingham
Many years ago when I put together my first hi-fi, I didn't bother with a radio tuner because I didn't hear anything for me on any radio stations - Radio 2 was my parents station, Radio 1 had already marginalised anything non-Top 40 to the wee small hours and Radios 3 + 4 were for posh, clever people (except for Test Match Special). Gradually, though radio has crept back into my life, initially through Radio 5 for news & sport, but then with Radio 2 - first it was Saturday nights of Critical List, Documentary and then Bob Harris. Then it was the mid week shows, then Saturday mornings and afternoons. One reason was the increased accessibilty of radio - I listen through our Telewest cable box run through my hi-fi (still no tuner!) and before that through a Sky box. I'm typing this listening to the Critical List over the internet. The Listen Again facility is fantastic - not just for Radio 2, but Radio 4 too (probably still not clever enough though).
It also means, and I don't know if I should admit this, that I can record the shows to burn to CD to listen in the car; even more convenience for me!
Oh, one more point - the interactivity through the great Radio 2 website - being able to email in and hear your words read out by Sir Bob of Harris.
Ian Onions, Grimsby
I have a nice Broadband connection and a good laptop with decent speakers, and have that on most of the time when at home, usually BBC 6 or7 or Radio 2. I really love the "listen again" facility, especially for Jonathan Ross, as I usually work on Saturdays and miss it! I also have a pocket DAB/walkman, and use it on the way to work, in my lunchtime and sometimes in bed. I'm hoping to get a nice portable radio as well, so I can listen in the bath or garden etc without 'phones. I have virtually given up watching TV-anyone fancy a nice 28" widescreen good nick, only one owner?
Paul Knapp, Wigston, Leicester
I listen via my DAB radio at home and love listening to the playback on the BBC. I have got rid odf my TV now as radio has so much more to offer as TV seems to be getting worse and worse. Unfortunately I do not get the chance to listen at work but as soon as I am home my DAB is on straight away!!! Well don to Five Live for the fantastic comentaries from the olympics, they paint such an aural picture, plust the lads on the Premiership comentaries, absloutely brilliant!!!
More people must try and convert to Radio and forget that terror called TV!!!
Chuck Schweitzer/ Philadelphia Pa. USA
I listen via computer, Its clear crisp and great to get music perspective from across the Atlantic. Chuck Schweitzer/ Philadelphia Pa. USA
Jimmy Whitehead/Liverpool
I listen every day while driving my truck..
no other station comes close to making me laugh/smile and enjoy everything I hear.
Keep up the good work
Gareth Dixon, Highbury, London N5
I love listening to Jonathan Ross on my PC at work on Saturdays. BBC Radio Player is genius and the ability to listen to recent programmes is excellent!
David Nash, Lima, Peru
I live in Lima, Peru & therefore I listen to Radio 2 via internet - live & also via Listen Again. Wonderful! I have the computer hooked up to a stereo system in another room so I can move around the flat with Radio 2 playing wherever!!
Bob Pells Akureyri Iceland
I listen to Radio two online in Iceland. I do not know how I would get through the day without Terry Wogan´s funny ways. And at the weekends with Jonathan Ross. Great work
Loren Reed, Worthing, West Sussex
Hi I listen mostly on Sundays. Radio 2 is very special on that day. The music is calm and soothing and it is refreshing not to have to listen to the hit records of today just for one day. I was very distressed to learn that Desmond Carrington is to lose his Sunday spot. I'm from the era that remembers 'Family Favourites', 'Billy Cotton' etc. and Desmond just fitted into the slot that these programmes left behind. It is a sad day for me. But I will still keep listening.
Jean, Coimbra, Portugal
I work from home and listen to Radio 2 all day via the computer. Recently got ADSL - fantastic, and cheap - and rediscovered the joys of Radio 2, having lived abroad for 30 years. I particularly enjoy the weather and traffic news.....
Morag, Vilnius
Since I am currently working in Lithuania, I listen via the BBC Radio Player. It is an essential part of life here! We "wake up to Wogan" at 9.30am in the office! And free Internet over the weekend allows us to browse lots of other shows.
At home, I have it on the car radio; the office radio and sometimes I listen on Digital TV....I think you can safely say that we are never without it!
S V - Istanbul
I listen to Radio 2 via the Radio Player on my Computer in my office in Istanbul. I've been away from England now for more than five years have missed Terry Wogan and Steve Wright so much. Just a few weeks ago, I discovered Radio Player and now I listen all day at my office and use 'listen again' when I miss shows. It brings me close to me home country, English sense of humour and just makes me feel good. I absolutely love the station, Terry and Steve brighten my day - EVERYDAY - THANK YOU!
Peter from Preston, Lanc's
I listen online using my laptop. I listen to the recorded programmes at the time of day they were first broadcast as it gives a strange comforting feeling of home although I am almost 5000 miles away in Seattle.
Maureen/Long Beach California, USA
I listen to Radio 2 on my computer at work. I enjoy the BBC far more than the local stations in the Los Angeles area - no &*%^! commercials!
Ted Fleischaker / Indianapolis USA
On my computer, but I bought a gadget that is legal in the States that allows computer sounds to be transmitted on the FM band for a few hundred feet, so I transmit BBC across my condominium home (at 90.6 on FM), including to my shower radio! It's like being in the UK---just turn on any radio and there's BBC!! Plus my neighbour upstairs in our condominium building gets the spillover signal and tunes in on his bedside clock radio, but he says he likes it when I tune in to Radio 4 best!
Michael, Godalming
I record The Jonathan Ross show onto my computer from my stereo system.
Then I listen to the show on the way to work on my iPod.
I never miss a show!
alberto, Bolton. North West England.
I listen to Radio 2 via the BBC Radio Player, unsifisticated and easy to use plus, the ability to listen to any favourites missed, at your conveniance, an exellant and must have free tool.
Melanie in Lancaster
I love to listen to Radio 2 all day whilst I'm at work. The only way I can receive your station is via my computer, as reception is really poor; that's why I love digital radio so much! I also love the fact that I can listen to any shows that I have missed.
ivana, Zagreb
via computer, you're great
Tommaso Scarpelli - Florence, Italy
I listen on the internet, the only way you can hera the greatest radio station in the world from Italy.
Mukul, Leeds
I listen online at work, and it was hard to believe at first. It;s clear and it's live. damn! I love it.
Phil, London
I agree with all the positive remarks about internet radio from the BBC, but would love to have more old comedy shows in the archives, in fact more in the archives generally. Also, on a nerdy-tech note, I can't believe you don't use Quicktime rather than Real Player... it's much more reliable, especially for Mac users.
Helen, Staffordshire
At home via my digibox and at work via the internet. I love the listen again feature!
Cassandra , Chelmsford
I listen on my computer at work. I usually play 'Listen Again'. Sounds of the 60's and Pick of the Pops are my favorites. My colleague likes them too.
alan mapp - sherborne in dorset

Michelle
Tracy Muir, Crich, Derbyshire
I listen everyday of the working week on my computer at work. Driving to work I listen on the car radio and the rest of the time I listen on my mini hi-fi at home. Wherever I listen, it's wonderful stuff I'm hearing from the brilliant Radio Two!!
JAckie Evans, Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Greetings from sunny Majorca !
I work in Palma airport in Prima Travel´s accommodation office. I start work at 8 am every morning.
The first thing that I do when I get to work is switch on my computer and connect to BBC Radio 2. I have lived out of the Uk for nearly 35 years and this is my little bit of luxury ...to be able to listen to my favourite radio programme and keep in touch with all the local news. Terry Wogan is my favourite. Thanks for many hours of happy listening
Jim Errington, Marina Del Rey, California
I listen on the web at home and wherever I travel for work in the US and enjoy being lulled to sleep by Sarah and company
John - Scunthorpe
I Listen to Sarah Kennedy (I remember her from Singapore in the 60s)on the car radio going to work from 6.30-7.30 At work Radio 2 is the only station we're tuned into, so listen all day. Then return home listening to Steve Wright and Johnnie Walker (another blast from the past - Pirate radio)In the evening sometimes listen in on the internet. Radio 2 the bestest radio station there is
Wolfboro NH USA
On holiday with the in laws for about 3 weeks. The computer with an ISDN line was quickly discovered. My demonstrations have resulted in a number of converts.
Keep up the good work. It is very worth while.

Lucy, brit in Florida
I listen to BBC radio online during work throughout the day. I really don't know what I'd do without the service! In the morning I use the listen again feature for Moyles. After that it's whatever strikes my fancy...News, Sport (americans don't show any footie games here) Documentaries....there's a plethora of fantastic broadcasting to get me through the day. Wonderful, keep up the exceptional broadcasting.
Liz, Bristol
I am stamping begonia bags for the winter and its the only thing keeping me sane!
Tamra/ Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
My husband is an ex-pat and he got me hooked on listening to Steve Wright when we lived in England. I even got to see Steve in Blackpool when Radio 2 did a tour around England! We live "across the pond" in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA now. Radio 2 is the one beacon of sanity for me. I listen to Radio 2 at work on a daily basis and often play back the Sunday Morning Love Songs show. It makes me think fondly of my time living in England and being able to listen to it on the FM radio. My local stations only offer conservative talk radio (YUCK!) and country music stations. Thank goodness for the Internet and the ability to listen to the BBC in Oklahoma!
Dave, Glasgow
I listen at home on TV, by DAB radio and online with my laptop depending on which room I'm in. At work I listen online at my desk through headphones. I hardly watch TV now that 'on demand' radio is available. It has turned round how I listen to music, hear the news and follow radio documentaries. It's superb although we need more Mark Lamarr and less Sounds of the 70s.
Judith Dickinson, Ash, Surrey
I listen online while I am in my office working, on the car radio all the time I am in the car, on the radio in the lounge and kitchen and on my radio alarm in the bedroom. I love Sarah Kennedy, Terry Wogan, Ken Bruce, Steve Wright and Johnny Walker and wouldn't change any of them, but I miss Jimmy Young. I am sorry that I find Jeremy Vine a bit smarmy! I am sure he is a very nice man, but although I love the programme because of its content, I would prefer Jimmy Young to be the presenter and interviewer, as I found he asked the questions I wanted to, and was always polite and courteous.
John Ingram, 24 Carfield Skelmersdale Lancs WN8 9
I do not get time of an evening due to commitments and so always listen to at least Sunday Half Hour, Melodies for you, Listen to the band and Your Hundred Best Tunes several times each during office hours on my computers.
Please keep this facility open - it is a wonderful service. I also listn to other programmes during the daytime whilst I am working. I work from home with a digital photographic business and find it fantastic to be able to listen to my favourite programmes time and again and to be able to pause the programme when a telephone call comes in and then to be able to restart from where I paused it.
Keep up the good work BBC I have listened to you since the Empire Service on 1500 meteres broadcast Chaimberlin announcing the outbreak of world war 2. I listen when out in the car mainly to Radio Merseyside who I also enjoy.
With kindest regards, John Ingram
Andy,Jersey
I listen to radio 2 in a variety of ways.Mostly in my van travelling between jobs, sometimes via digital tv and occasionally while online.Would like to get dab radio but understand that is not possible in Jersey.Think the listen again feature when online is excellent!
Kevan, Corby Northants
On the internet while i am playing chess in an online chess club.
Liz - Evergreen, Colorado USA
We listen at work via the Internet on a DSL line through the sterio - once in a while the connection breaks up but 99% of the time it comes through loud and clear and it's great to hear all the DJ's I grew up with - keep up the good work, thanks.
Ken in Albuquerque, New Mexico
I record a bit of Sarah Kennedy and all of 'Wake Up To Wogan' over the internet and listen to the program on my way to/from work every day. If I close my eyes, it feels like being in England. Although the people driving around me seem to get a bit upset.
Malcolm Cooke, Richfield, Ohio, USA
Over the internet in the USA. Please can we get access to previous shows that are older than just one week, especially Susie Q and Steve Wright
As a 'Brit' it is very comforting to be able to listen to my favourite DJs, even if they have moved from Radio 1 to Radio 2.
Keep up the great work.
Paul Johnson Scotts Valley / California
I listen via the Internet, you can't beat the quality of the beeb, Started by picking out Steve Wright in the afternoon (early morning for me now) my favorite when I was back in the UK, but keep finding more and because of the time difference the replays are especially great.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
The Mole from Bognor Regis / Ottawa .Ontario. CANA
Hi Radio 2; We listen via the internet pumped thru the Hi Fi. The sound is quite spectacular already so any further definition would be a bonus. We've lived in Canada for 40 years and for myself I dreamt of the day I could listen to BBC jazz programmes live. Being 5 hours behind plus the listen again feature is the
Adam suffolk
Hi it's adam here from lowestoft and my favourite way of listening to radio 2, apart from on the radio in the mornings at breakfast, is on the real player via broadband. I'm 15 and have started working over the summer, it lightens the mood in the office with a radio on!
P.S. I like the Jeremy Vine show, Terry Wogan and Steve Wright in the afternoon!
Joanna, St. Albans
Via the computer. It has opened up a whole new world for me as I can now listen to all the concerts I miss on Saturday nights and all the country/ folk music including Cambridge Folk Festival without actually going!
Anthony P.Browne, Oakville, Ontario, Canada
Via my computer, 'tho I transform the digital signal to analog, using an XITEL ProHiFi-Link, connected to my downstairs amplifier.
Due to the 5 hour delay between London and Toronto, the 'Listen Again' feature is much appreciated.
Thank you, particularly for radio 7, to have a laugh in these serios times, (in North America, everyone is so P.C., that they are scared of being sued, if they laugh).
Rod Harding, Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
I often listen to BBC2 via the internet, seeing I live in the interior of British Columbia, Canada.Find the programs very refreshing compared with the local commercial stations here.
Also watch BBC Cornwall. I used live in Cornwall 38 years ago. Happen to see the flood at Boscastle last week. Remembered the Lynnmouth distaster back in the fifties.
Mark Philpot, Bromley, Kent
I've listened to Radio 2 for around 2 years now in glorious DAB and once you've tried it there's no going back! Brilliant!
Sue Kelly in Sligo
I love listening to Wogan at any time of the day via the internet. Here is ROI I cannot get a signal, but the internet is fantastic. I usually listen late at night because my kids do just what I used to do when I was young - listen to the music and talk through the blarney. Now I know why Mother used to complain!!! :-)
Cynthia Taylor-Luce, Burlington, Ontario, Canada
My only option is to listen online since I'm in Canada. Because of the time difference I listen to the afternoon and overnight programmes, but sometimes choose the prerecorded Wake up with Wogan because I do enjoy that (I just prefer listening "live" because it makes me feel I'm back visiting England). I wish I could listen to Radio Two in the car--that would be perfect! By the way, I look at the BBC website all the time and subscribe to email bulletins--they really help me feel like I'm in touch with the world. I think our news here is focussed on the same narrow subjects whereas the BBC spans the globe.
Sue Loveridge Salisbury Wiltshire
I have a digital radio at home and at work through the internet.........which is a bit of a pain as customers keep phoning and I have to turn it down low, so inconvenient!!!
The digital radio at home is absolutely excellent, so is the internet link at home ,not so good at work but never mind at least I get to listen!!!!!!!!!
Love Johnny Walker and Mr Wogan!!!
Christina Hultén - Estoril (LIsbon), Portugal
Help - I have become a TOG!! Cannot manage without my Radio 2.
I listen through my APPLE computer with my REAL audio software.
MY OS is 9.2. I have OS X installed but don+t use it yet. I work at home as a graphic artist.
The REAL software is very temperamental and the radio crashes several times a day. The BBC radio player some times works better. I sincerely wish there were other ways of listening to Radio 2 here in Portugal. Then I could listen to the radio in the bathroom, in the kitchen etc. Now I am confined to my office! When I have to go out, I listen to Jeremy Vine when I get back! Great solution! Thank you.
Steve Moore, 6302 Windcrest Drive, Apt. 1028, Plan
Hi,
I am a Brit living in the United States
and I listen to Radio 2 on my computer here in Dallas, Texas. Like many other listeners, I think the Radio player is a much needed lifeline for all us ex-pats who crave for that little piece of home. The "Listen Again" feature is particularly good, because it enables me to listen to many of my favorite shows at times that suit me.
Kath from Bristol
Its great, I listen at work, online and its crystal clear
Mark Davies, Warfield, Berkshire
In the car, on the TV - via SKY dish, on the internet.
I would like to see (or should I say hear ) ALL of the shows on the radio available for listen again. Why are some not available ?
Helen, Cheshire
I listen mainly on radio's in varous rooms of the house, but do listen via the computer and use the 'Listen Again' feature a lot. Radio from the TV doesn't seem right. The only problem with digital radio is that it is slightly out of sync with analogue.
Steve Male, Whitstable (Kent)
From 7:30 until about 9:00, I listen on my FM radio. Thereafter, I use my PC, as I work from home and am at the PC most of the day.
However, is it the BBC's intention to eventually drop FM? I remember the change from MW to FM, when the former was dropped in favour of the new frequency. Now you advertise constantly as "Online, digital and 88 - 91 FM". FM isn't even in second place anymore. It's going to go, isn't it?
Hazel Dunn Seafield West Lothian
I listen to Radio 2, 3 and 4 on my digital radio and now I have a portable digital radio so I can listen in every room in the house. I would be completely lost without it now.
Adrian Mann. Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
I will from time to time listen to the radio through the T.V. as the digital cable is so very clear, though it is odd having a blank T.V. screen all but a bbc radio 2 logo. In the main i will still listen on a small mains analog in the kitchen.
Gayle Walton - Luton
We can now have radio at work because we can listen to it online.
Hannah, Guildford
The online radio player is great for listening at work but otherwise I use a radio - at home or in the car. I'd like to see the comedy shows on listen again as I often forget to tune in for that hour!
Paula Collard (40) Bridgwater, Somerset.
I love to listen to Sarah Kennedy on my pc in the morning while I do my banking and emails etc. Then I listen to Terry Wogan while I drive to work. Can't listen to radio at work so the next I get is Steve Wright on the way home from work and while I make the tea. We generally listen to Johnny Walker while we eat our tea and wash up. I have recently discovered the "Listen again" feature and am now totally in love with Sounds of the 70s and listen to this over and over again while I use the pc. This feature is fabulous as we can discover gems that we would otherwise miss out on. I also love Desmond Carrington and then Dale Winton on Sunday afternoons but my husband doesn't like these two so I have to listen in the kitchen. At least this means my kitchen gets a wipe over once a week so it can't be all bad, eh? Is that right, that Desmond Carrington is finishing? I hope not.
Ken, Sydney, Australia
I listen via the Internet connected to my stereo system and I love it.
Because of the time difference I can replay the programs at a time that suits.
Keep up the good work
Frank, Rotherham
I listen to radio on a dab set during the day but when online I use the radio player, easily the best way.
paul m.kehoe dublin ireland
I listen to all BBC services on line, especially the weather and BBC radio 2.on real player. overall the BBC website is fasinating.
Hazem Akil - Edinburgh
i listen online. it's fab sometimes to see the presenter on the webcam.
Jean Cooper, Milton Keynes
I listen to my radio wherever I am in the house - I have a radio in every room (2 in some rooms) I also have a 'wind-up' radio for when I am in the garden and I have a little earphone in my ear so I can lie down and listen to the radio when I am in bed. The only time I listen 'on line' is when I have missed a programme and use the 'listen agan' feature, which I think is great.
Chris Loughran, Knowle
I listen to many of my favourite programmes when I am at my desk at home at weekends. First on is always the Mike Harding show, followed by anything else Folk related (Eliza Carthy's Anglicana was a treat). After that we might switch to comedy (I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue) and maybe a radio play. All this "on demand" through my broadband connection. Many thanks to the BBC.
Bill Payer / Halifax. W. Yorks
I listen to Wogan later, on my computer when I get home from work. Although I do listen to the show in the morning I find I'm too sleepy to appreciate the subtle nuances of the banter.
Su - Milton Keynes
I listen to shows on the Internet when I am at work, I like to pick and choose shows to match my day. There is always something I fancy. I love it!
Betty from Andover
Being a very senior citizen I listen to my favourite kind of music, mostly on Sundays either in the kitchen on the mains radio and in the afternon to Desmond Carrington and Russell Davies via the excellent Real Player on my computer. David Jacobs is heard on my little portable radio. These programmes are very precious to me.
Nathan Barratt from Nottingham
Until recently I always listened to radio 2 online, on my laptop whilst working. However I just got a DAB digital radio for a wedding present and it is absolutely fantastic! You guys sound even better now!
Stu Ward - Syracuse, New York, USA
I'm sure many ex-pat Brits will agree, that the standard of many radio stations around the world is poor in camparison to the BBC's productions. Being able to listen to BBC radio via the internet has to be one of the lifesavers for us all living around the world - especially the ability to play back favourite recorded shows - keeping us in touch with home.
Emma in Dunstable
we listern at work from 9 till 5.30 everyday day via the internet!
Chris - Warrington
The BBC Radio Player is like Sky+ for your ears. Listen to what you want, when you want. If only I could listen to Jonathon Ross on my iPod that would cover where you want as well. Long live internet radio!
James from Cheshire
I listen to Radio 2 on my DAB alarm clock, and DAB Car radio. DAB has really changed my life, as has the Radio Player for listening to Mark Radcliffe during the day.
Dorothy - Swindon
It doesn't feel right to listen to the radio on my TV - I still listen on my portable radio in my kitchen and in my garden too - that way I can carry it around with me - then I don't miss a thing!
Geoff, London
I listen to my favourite shows online using the BBC Radio Player - a brilliant piece of work from the BBC - many thanks!!!
Barry from London
Your radio player has changed my life. Now I can listen to Terry when I'm having my supper with the missus.
