THE SERIES
Rowland Rivron presents a light hearted musical celebration, which each week features music celebrities (on location) talking about their careers and studio guests discussing their musical passions.

Suggs, Huey Lewis, Dennis Locorriere from Dr Hook, Jools Holland, Jason Donovan, and Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr are all featured on location from various venues and outdoor events, while in the studio Rowland's guests include Dale Winton, Joan Rivers, Neil Morrissey, Eddie Large, Ben Elton and Ringo Starr.  Rowland in his unique way manages to unearth some hilarious information about his guests, some of which is highly unusual.

Also on the show is resident musical Agony Uncle, Doctor Dave Radio, who helps the bemused and confused by giving them an answer to their musical quandaries.

Features on the show include:
Stop Making Sense - a look at the lyrics behind a pop hit from the past to comically find out what they really mean. Songs come from the likes of Terence Trent D'Arby, Roxette and Bow Wow Wow.

Where Are They Right Now? - a call to members of a pop act from the past to find out, not only what they've been up to and their memories of the past, but where they are right now! Acts include Racey, Darts, Herman's Hermits, The Partridge Family, Pilot and The Bluebells.

AN INTERVIEW WITH ROWLAND RIVRON

Q. What was it like making Radio Rivron?
A. A hellish nightmare - it's not so much the long hours, more the headless chicken approach the team seem so at home with.

Q. What's your musical passion?
A . For a long while it was jazz but Ian Dury And The Blockheads arrived in my world and soon made me see sense. And when Prince released Sign Of The Times, well, I was sorted.

Q. What radio did you grow up listening to?
A . Earliest recollection - BFBO 40 of a weekend. Noel Edmonds first thing during the week, and Round The Horn.

Q. What instruments have you played over the years?
A. Drums, drums and more drums!

Q. What else can we see or hear you in in the near future?
A. Ben Elton's new sitcom Blessed, on BBC One on Fridays.  Also, Christmas Jammin' on Radio 2.
