Bellowhead

Bellowhead are an English folk band originally brought together by John Spiers and Jon Boden.

The 11 piece band plays traditional English dance tunes and songs, but with a considerable twist.

Inbetween going on stage with Bellowhead, Jon Boden squeezed-in a secret BBC Radio 2 gig, organised through our Folk Text Club.

Watch the video of his impromptu performance.

Absolutely fantastic set from this awesomely talented 11 piece - really got the place jumping (literally on FL & DT!) Our party was happy as the teenagers with us got autographs and each of our favourites - Kaffoz, Rochdale Coconut Dance and Cholera Camp played. Hopefully next time they will be the headliners and get a bit longer - that certainly seemed to be the mood of crowd.
