Eliza Carthy is an English folk musician known for both singing and playing the fiddle. She is the daughter of legendary English folk musicians singer/guitarist Martin Carthy and singer Norma Waterson. Eliza formed her first band, the Waterdaughters, when she was just 13 years-old.

I thought Eliza Carthy's Folk Burlesque set on Friday was fabulous. Being pregnant didn't seem to stop her leaping about the stage, brandishing her fiddle and her superb voice packed with character and style. What a gal!
