500 WORDS 2012

In 2012, we received over 74,000 short stories from children all over the UK, and we were hugely impressed at the quality of writing. Over 2,000 volunteer teachers and librarians marked every story, before the National Literacy Trust helped us whittle it down to a shortlist! But who will Chris Evans and our expert judges choose as our Gold, Silver and Bronze winners? Find out on Friday June 1st 2012 from 0630 live on Radio 2. Until then, we hope you enjoy the tantalising tales in this year's shortlist!
