
Premiership tickets competition terms and conditions
Rules
1. Entry is open to all UK residents (incl. Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) aged 16 or over, except BBC employees, any person connected to the competition and their close relatives. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested.
2. Every Saturday at approximately 1130 during the Radio1 Vernon Kay show, a question will be read on-air along with 3 possible answers. After the mobile short-code is announced on-air, listeners can register by texting the word FOOTY followed by the letter corresponding to the one answer they believe to be correct (A, B, or C). Registration will remain open for approximately 30 minutes before an announcement is made that it has closed. Only one entry will be allowed for each mobile number.
3. Standard messaging charges apply. Entrants must ensure they obtain the bill-payer's consent before entering. Please ensure you key-in correctly the keyword and letter corresponding to your answer.
4. Entrants under 18 must ensure they obtain parent/guardian permission to enter the competition.
5. Texts received after the registration period is closed will not be considered but you may still be charged by your network operator.
6. The production team will randomly produce a shortlist of those entrants who answered correctly and contact them to verify their details and take a brief interview. A further selection will then be made of the 2 entrants that - during the telephone interview - appeared most enthusiastic and lively to take part in the competition live on-air. The two contestants will play head to head on-air. The winner will be the contestant who gets the highest number of correct answers. In the event of a tie there will be a tiebreak 'nearest number to' tie-break question.
7. Entrants who have made it to the on-air question round are excluded from re-entering the competition for the next [10] weeks.
8. The BBC’s decision as to the winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
9. Each week, the prize will be 2 tickets to a football premiership match as described on the show. Tickets are for the home end of the match highlighted.. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances.
10. The BBC will not reimburse the winners for any costs incurred in attending the event i.e. travel and accommodation.
11. The BBC will not be responsible for any failure by the ticket holders to gain entry or re-entry to the event due to the behaviour of the ticket holder or their failure to meet the admission requirements of the event.
12. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required.
13. The BBC reserves the right to: (i) vary the telephone line opening times of the competition; (ii) disqualify any entrant who breaches the rules or has acted fraudulently in any way; (iii) replace a shortlisted/selected entrant if the entrant cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts by the BBC; and (iv) cancel the competition, at any stage, if in its opinion it is deemed necessary or if circumstances arise outside its control.
14. The BBC, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem which may result in any entry being lost, not properly registered or tickets not arriving.

16. This competition accords with the BBC's Code of Conduct for Competitions and Voting, details of which can be found on the BBC'S Standards and Guidelines website.
17. The promoter of the competition is the British Broadcasting Corporation and the applicable law is the laws of England and Wales.
18. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when registering.
