      After such a stunning Gorillaz gig at the Brighton Centre on the 18th (One of the best of 50+ gigs I have been to!), which left me feeling like I had just been part of something really special, I was blown away again by the quality of their Live Lounge performance! I have enormous respect for Damon, who I think is a genius innovative singer songwriter, who is totally passionate about his craft and an all round nice guy. The Live Lounge version of On Melancholy Hill was truly beautiful!

      Gorillaz were in the Live Lounge along with singer Daley to perform Doncamatic and a special cover of The xx - Crystalised. They also did an exclusive stripped back version of On Melancholy Hill for us.

      Damon spoke to Jo Whiley about the state of the music industry, Blur and got controversial about Simon Cowell and the X Factor
