Terms and conditions
If you are going to register for tickets to Radio 1 Presents Metallica at the Radio Theatre then please read the following carefully.
Only UK residents aged 16 and above can apply for tickets or attend the event. Proof of age and identity will be required. The BBC reserves the right to refuse admission or ask someone to leave the event at its discretion.
Only one application is permitted per person and overseas entries will not be considered.
There will be 280 tickets in total available for the public, 140 applicants will each get a pair of tickets.
Application will open Tuesday 2nd September at 7.30pm and close at 11.59pm on Friday 5th September.
Successful applicants will be contacted by email by Tuesday 9th September 2008. You will need to reply to our email to confirm your tickets. If contact is unable to be made on the email address supplied, or we do not receive a reply to our email by Thursday 11th September at 3pm, the tickets will be offered to the next person selected at random.
The BBC does not accept any responsibility for late or lost applications whatever the cause. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
Entrants must supply full details as required and comply with all rules to be eligible for the ticket(s). No responsibility is accepted for ineligible applications or applications made fraudulently.
Entrants can only apply using their main residential address.
No travelling, food or other costs will be provided by the BBC.
The personal details supplied when entering this draw will only be used by the BBC and the company contracted to distribute the tickets for this purpose. They will be stored under the terms of the Data Protection Act.
The BBC reserves the right to cancel this event and ticket process at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control. The BBC reserves the right to change the line-up at any time.
Should the event be cancelled or line-up changed, the BBC is not liable for any loss of money and expense incurred in travelling to the venue.
Tickets are free and cannot be resold. If you buy tickets from anyone they will not be valid.
These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
