The Zutons - 18 Oct 04
Liverpudlian fivesome the Zutons are going from strength to strength, with their catchy new single 'Don't Ever Think (Too Much)' out this week.
Abi, David, Boyan, Sean and Russell paid a visit to Jo Whiley's Live Lounge to perform the single, as well as a fabulous cover version of The Scissor Sisters' 'Take Your Mama'.
On how they keep themselves amused on tour:
"Doing nothing up to now. I've been dawdling a lot, walking around, playing football, but never a proper game, so it's always a bit frustrating. Every time you go to write a new song someone says you've got to do something for five minutes, then you've got to do something in half an hour. As you can see, we really love touring!"
On not winning the Mercury Prize:
"To be honest I feel like we won it without winning it and that's the best possible way, because we've got more in the public eye and we've got more press and attention out of it. So we're not "that band that won the Mercury awards" and our next album won't be crucified for it!"
