Rob steps into Huw's manor with this weeks session. Acid Casuals are a Welsh techno collective. These boys are seriously cool, wait til you hear how many artistic pies they have their fingers in...
These boys get around! Cian Ciarán is the Super Furry Animals' sample genius. Kev Tame once played bass for Big Leaves. And Llyr Evans was in the film Twin Town Sometime. Another Acids collaborator Kris Jenkins plays percussion for SFA. Jon Calcio is from Cardiff 's infamous Café Calcio. Tonights session features none other than Cardiffs CF1 choir, get in.
Acid Casuals also run a fashion label and art gallery, launched in Tokyo. Told you they were cool. The urban fashion collections - collaborations between AC and designers, photographers and artists - appeared on the cover of NME, were worn by Rhys Ifans and SFA, making the label the only one to wear for those in the know.
DIY fashion and music not enough? The Acid Casuals have also lent their name to the art world. The AC Capsule Gallery in Cardiff opened in 2002 and showcases a variety of local artists paintings, sculptures and installations.
There is rumour that the Acid Casuals gallery even has a bar/restaurant thingy too. Music, food, art, clothes and beers? Quality.
The long-awaited debut Acid Casuals album, Omni, was released in January this year.
