01 Introduction
Mixing is the process of combining all the sounds you have recorded into one coherent musical piece. It can be fiddly and dull and it's quite technical so make sure you keep your musical perspective and let the engineer get technical.

This section has advice on how to get the best from mix, including:

  • Why you should wait to do it
  • How not to chase faders
  • Listening level
  • Using monitor mixers
  • Storing mixes
  • 'Vocal Up' mixes
