Zena Edwards performed live in session on Ras's show.
Zena Edwards is a Tottenham based poet, singer and writer. She is quoted as being one of the most refreshing, ever-developing voices in the UK.
HBO show Def Poetry earmarked her as 'one of the fastest rising constellations in the UK performance poetry scene.'
Zena fuses the raw elements of urban experiences and expresses them through individualised rhythms of hip-hop and jazz.
Her poetry is inspired by her travel, especially in Africa , she describes it as traditional song and music. She has poems published in several anthologies and performs her work nationally and internationally.
Zena has performed at WOMAD, The London Jazz Festival, Poetry International at the Royal Festival Hall, The URB Hip Hop Festival - Helsinki , Glastonbury as well as many others.
