Suicidal Birds

Suicidal Birds

The Suicidal Birds were the first track ever played on our OneMusic show way back last year. So they've been in the family over a year now.

Holland 's finest export, the Suicidal Birds consists of Jessie on vocals/screaming/guitar, Chay on bass guitar/vocals, Sido on guitar and Roel on drums. Tonight's session features the talents of Jessie and Chay going solo.

The band name was inspired by the large number of birds flying into the window of singer Jessie's house. We like that. (The name, not the unfortunate birds.)

Suicidal Birds play punk, blues and rock, proudly using outdated guitar amps and self-made pedals. The girls were in top form at Maida Vale, slightly baffled to be playing a gig before midnight, but in top form none the less!

They were fresh from a European tour when we caught up with them. Check their site for this summers touring dates, we highly recommend you check 'em live!
