"We didn't have (and still don't have) a concept. We're free to do anything we like, " explains Marco. "Concepts are boundaries and I think this is what differs Shitkatapult from other electronic labels. We never had the intention to be a techno label."

Somewhat ironically, the record which has sold the most was T. Raumschmiere's, 'The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle' which ain't a rock record! In 2000, Sascha Ring (a.k.a. Apparat) jumped onboard and the two have been splitting head honcho duties ever since. The graphics for the label are handled by fellow label mates Carsten Aermes a.k.a. Phon.o and Alexander Solman a.k.a. Cia-Industries.

The success of Shitkatapult is undoubtedly their commitment to 'anything goes' in much the same way as our other favourite German label, bPitchControl. With an impressive array of artists which include Anders Ilar, Apparat, Håkan Lidbo, Phon.O, Sami Koivikko and Das Bierbeben there's something for every techno and experimental dance enthusiast. Their website is similarly fantastic which allows the listener to hear just about every release on Shitkatapult. And Haas, who has his eye on world domination, isn't content to leave it there, "I'd like to work with David Bowie or Nine Inch Nails". World domination could be beckoning!
