Dance: Don't let the man remixes
1/4 NextNext
Fatboy Slim Updated: 23/12/04
Announcing the winner of the Fatboy Slim remix competition, chosen by Norman himself, along with his comments.

The winner is DeFacto (Deep Down & Dirty mix). Download all the shortlisted tracks and tell us if you agree with Fatboy...

"We chose 'Don't Let The Man' for the remix competition because it is a tough track to mix in an original way, and in some ways it's not quite finished even in the way it appears on the album. We've been amazed at what we've heard!"

"Jamie B and Ictus get a big up for trying out the maddest freshest mixes ie Fatboy vs Chic, and Fatboy vs Isaac. James F and Sarah get Praise Yous for great musical interpretation but Sarah's wealth of ideas diluted the overall impact."

"DeFacto gets first place, because overall it is the most successful whole version. It's the strongest combination of reinterpreting the spirit of the original and adding new parts."

"All the mixes were of a very high standard, and a big thank you goes out to all those that had a go. The finalists should definitely keep at it and send more of their work to our label at Southern Fried Records."
