Party Hard Listen to the documentary
 |
With The Rapture holding their album launch party on a boat on the Thames, a bloke in Hackney holding club nights in his own front room and the re-birth of the illegal rave it seems it's all about the venue at the moment. The wackier and more secret the better.
Party Hard celebrates the diversity and eccentricty of the UK's club scene, visits some of the weird and wonderful parties going on around the country and follows the tales of those on a mission to find the next real good time.

"I think people these days want a bit of fun." |
Rob Da Bank - Radio 1 DJ
"I always like to throw a really good party...balloons, vodka jelly, the more like a kids party the better. I think people these days want a bit of fun."
|
Party girl Jo - Bristol
"The way it normally happens is that they [the party organisers]start parties at midnight or one O'Clock in the morning because by that point you've got a large number of people there... My friends are down there now and they're in negotiation with the police outside at the moment as to whether or not they'll let them continue."
|
"I'm a bit of a sucker for a ball gown." |
Mark Jones - Wall Of Sound
"Going on reaction from other people I think the best parties we've had have been the fancy dress parties we've had because I'm a bit of a sucker for a ball gown. "
|
Wade Crescent - Spit Roast Brothers
"I was kind of bored of the normal going to parties, getting wasted, going home with a girl kind of thing so I just wanted to put more influence into it. I had this amazing space with a stage in it in Hackney, it's kind of like my live in studio and I got 10 or 15 bands involved to play together like Junior Senior...Razor Light. They all played for free and all the money we collected went to charity...the only downside was noise pollution and erm, the bill that turned up a day later for ten grand, tidying up took ten days..."
