Where are you from?
Watford. I went to the same school as Geri Halliwell (but quite a few years later!).

What were you doing before Radio 1?
I got into the BBC on theNews Sponsorship Scheme. I've worked at1Xtra and in BBC local TV and radio. I've also been a chambermaid and a holiday rep! 

Best part of the job/thing you are most proud of?
Sneaky insights into places you'd never normally go. I've just been behind the catwalks at Milan Fashion Week.See the photos. In Sweden I visited the club where Sven first played football.  I also really enjoyed making my documentary on teenage Gypsies and Travellers.Listen to it.

Worst on air moment?

I am very professional but Colin Murray often tries to put me off before I read a news bulletin!

Three words that describe you:
Petite, determined, adventurous

Advice to anyone who wants to get started in journalism:
Get as much work experience as you can and don't give up.

Where would you like to be in 10 years' time?

Sipping cocktails on my own private beach.

My top three albums ever are:
I hate this question. Jamiroquai, Take That and Oasis are old faves. At the moment I'm loving Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse.

Who's your favourite news reporter?
Del Crookes. He does all the reports on the Newsbeat website.

How do you spend your time off?
Playing netball and visiting friends around the country.

If wasn't a news reporter I'd be...
Travelling.
