Miami Club Guide
Updated 28th Feb 2005
If you want the low down on all the hot clubs and parties that will be happening during the Winter Music Conference then check out the Club Guide compiled by our man in Miami Nick McCabe from Cool Junkie:
Opium Garden (136 Collins Avenue, South Beach)
Opium Garden is a gorgeous indoor/outdoor club, featuring an amphitheater-style Main Room, as well as the exclusive 'Prive' VIP room which acts as a second main room during conference.
The whole club is decked out in far-eastern style, with pagodas, buddhas, and huge statues spread around the rooms, and it will also have a new sound system installed specifically for WMC. This is the club where Miami's beautiful people can always be found.

Space (34 NE 11th St, Downtown Miami)
Located in downtown Miami, Space has a 24-hour liquor license allowing marathon events to take place. Clubbers regularly party from 10pm Saturday until 12pm Sunday, and the outdoor Sunrise Sessions on the rooftop terrace have become legendary. The world's biggest DJ's are normally here every night during conference.

Club eNVy (90 NE 11th St, Downtown Miami)
After undergoing several management changes, Envy has now stabilized as a downtown alternative to Space. Located right down the block from Space, Envy has 2 rooms and a 24 hour liquor license. This is where Danny T will play his marathon this year.
Crobar (1445 Washington Avenue, South Beach)
Crobar recently celebrated their 4th birthday, and are still going strong as South Beach's leading club. The venue is a converted Art Deco Theater, and features a Phazon sound system in the Main Room, as well as a recently refurbished split-level VIP room, which during conference is used as a second room.

Mansion (1235 Washington Avenue, South Beach)
Formerly Level, Mansion has just been opened by the same team behind Opium Garden. The club has several rooms accommodating up to 5 different DJ setups at any one time meaning huge lineups. This year Mansion is the venue for all of Godskitchen and Spundae's events.

Nikki Beach Club (100 Ocean Drive, South Beach)
A beautiful outdoor venue, Nikki's is a huge club literally right on the sand, with 2 restaurants, multiple bars, and plenty of sun loungers for chillaxin'. There are 3 separate areas for DJ's and live acts, and also 'Pearl' restaurant upstairs, which often doubles as Nikkis' VIP area. Oh yeah and the famous teepees for private moments…

State (320 Lincoln Road, South Beach)
Formerly Club Spin until a recent management change, State is a large, DJ-oriented venue with excellent sound and lighting, and one of the best DJ booths around. The club has 2 rooms, and also 2 large balconies overlooking the Main Room. Recently refurbished, State features lots of red velvet and lounging areas with the odd mannequin here and there.
