The Radio 1 Love Weekend: Video Report
Radio 1's Love Weekend live in Newcastle was a massive success. DJs and clubbers joined forces to give the city the best party it has ever seen. It all went ahead - perhaps not as planned - but judging by Newcastle's reaction to Pete Tong, who kicked the weekend off followed by Danny Rampling at Sea, we were up for a good one.

Timo Maas' pulling tips
Both Timo Maas and Stanton Warriors took the opportunity to play new tracks to Radio 1 listeners.
Timo admitted to Radio 1 that even though he's no oil painting, with the right pair of trainers he can still pull in the groupies:
"I'm German, I'm a little bit overweight, have an eighties hairstyle but the girls love me. I've got trainers from 15 years ago, I absolutely love them - they look like I should be living under a bridge though, not in a flat."

Straight after Sara and her DJ mates at BBC Newcastle, it was off to the enormous Tuxedo Princess, the Radio 1 Loveboat, which was a first for the camouflaged-up Fergie.
Fergie's clubbing nightmare

He's now heading off to Majorca to check out the clubs and says he's looking forward to visiting the biggest club there - BCM - even though his memories of the last time he went aren't very good:
"The last time I was there I was about 12 and they wouldn't let me in. My brother went in and left me standing outside for eight hours and then he came out and I had to pay for his taxi because he had no money left!"
Judge Jules has already been lending his support to next year's Love Parade.
Even though the Love Weekend was a massive success, clubbers and DJs alike are hoping that the parade will go ahead next year.

Jules agreed with Pete Tong's opening speech, "You can cancel the parade but you can't cancel love" and told us: "That is the ethos of the Love Parade and here's hoping that people have a heart in the local authorities that are thinking about having this event next year".

And in the Telewest Arena at the weekend, you'd be hard-pushed to find so much talent on any other stage - with Seb Fontaine, Layo and Bushwacker, Yousef, Sasha and Darren Emerson.
