The Love Weekend: Sara Cox live from Newcastle
Updated 21 July 2001: Updated throughout the show - Last updated 17.20
After a heavy Friday night session with Tongy & Rampling it was always going to be a struggle to get out of bed in time to get down to BBC Newcastle for the second part of Radio 1's Love Weekend. But we made it, Sara Cox's DJ Love In is under way, we've already had mixes from Scott & Scooby, Futureshock and Dave Pearce - their tracklists are at the bottom of this page...

Coxy kicks things off with Roger Sanchez's 'Another Chance' swiftly followed by her theme tune, 'Lady' by Modjo. Big props to her and Sazzle for partying right the way through Sea and then carrying on the party with Grooverider down at Scotland Yard - hardcore!

First up on the ones and two's are local lads and Shindig promoters Scott & Scooby. The lads drop a tasty selection of funky house cuts that sound just right on slightly sore heads!

The duo rip it up! Later on they'll be spinning on their home turf at the Shindig Love Weekend party alongside Danny Rampling and then finishing thigs off at the Essential Mix party at the Telewest Arena...

A few more tunes later and the fantastic Futureshock drop by for a little mix, the boys are immediately accosted by Yousef!

Some of tunes they pull out of the box are, as Pete Tong would say, deep and devastating, they include the Danny Tenaglia mixes of 'Finally' by KOT, 'I Feel Loved' by Depeche Mode and the fantastic King Unique mix of 'The Virus' by Mutiny UK.
The shortest stop of the day award goes to Dave Pearce, who is so busy this weekend that he came in, talked to Coxy, dropped a few tunes into the mix and ran straight out to play at his 'Euphoria' night in Ibiza...
In demand producers Stanton Warriors were up next, with Dom asking whether anybody could sort him out with a lift up to Sheffield and then wanted everybody's opinion on their new mix of Basement Jaxx's 'Where's Your Head At'. True to their special brand of DJing they brought along a synth and a sampler to add some tasty extras into the mix...
Despite not having slept for the last three weeks, Timo Maas made a journey to Newcastle via Ibiza, Germany and Amsterdam. When asked about playing on the Love Boat he said he couldn't wait, until Sara told him that it smelt of wee and sick!
As the horn was passed round the studio one more time, the Dreem Teem's Timmi Magic swiung into the studio with a box of tunes.
He was swiftly followed by Danny Rampling, who dropped in to chat to Sara about the weekend, Ibiza and his plan to take over her show!
Last visitor of the day was Sonique, who revealed that she'd left half her records at home, fortunately one of them was Da Hool's 'Meet Her At The Love Parade'! She finished the show with a blinding set then headed off to get ready for all the gigs she's playing tonight.
